A little insight with @pioneerdjglobal from a UK perspective of Afro House Djs and Producers who have been pushing this sound passionately over a decade helping it shape to where it is now especially with SA artist getting exposed and recognised with their sound bringing in a new audience especially over the last 8 years wherever they are Djs , Producers , Labels or just music lovers who felt connected with it going to the party’s . It is a sound we all respected fully that was predominantly coming from South African underground township culture which followed to Angola and Botswana from an African soil point of view .

My podcast show which has been running for over 10 years with around 98 shows reaching 3+ million downloads across the globe over time that introduced the guys behind modern big labels such as @moblackrecords , @gondwana_ke @madorasindahouse to name a few before they even started labels or knew of this sound which helped them find underground artist .

I came from a direction also being influenced not just from SA commercial labels like @soulistic_music @kalawajazmeer @houseafrika @soulcandi but also worldwide ones such as @yorubarecordsofficial @vegarecords @bbemusic @defectedrecords @yellowrecords @ocharecords @innervisions_official @offeringrecordings @nulumovement @triberecords , Cabana Recordings , DNH , @realtonerecords , Afro Zoo , @openbarmusic , Peng Africa to name a few who was and some still are pushing Afro House one way or another .

I left UK last year to help push this sound in other parts unfamiliar of this music but help understand the spiritual richness it has but also that it’s a global sound for everyone to connect with helping people reconnect with their traditional culture wherever it’s in a organic or electronic fashion .

Beyond the continent, few people have done as much for African house music. If you were there before the hype, you know who he is.
For more than a decade, Jodie Denis aka Aluku Rebels has chased culture instead of trends. With Aluku Records, he has given artists from across the continent a platform and helped this music travel the world, always with respect for where it comes from.
We met in Paris in 2015. Ten years later, Sanity feat. Jonatan Bäkelie is my first release on his label, and it is an honor.

A few Aluku records that mean a lot to me:
- Enoo Napa & Channell Collen – Expression
- Marrisa Guzman & Enawadan – Better Days (Benny T Tswana Perspective Afro Mix)
- Denivel Line – Iniciação (Meditation in the Wild Mix)
- Kato Change & Winyo – Abiro (Da Capo’s Touch)
- Divine Keys, Jnr SA & Frigid Armadillo – Afrique

Sanity is out now on @aluku.records. by @alukurebels

Late post here but really amazed going into a stable looking team of togetherness this season with 20 years of no league glory suffered I guess many fans outside got use to mocking @arsenal as much as Arsenal fans got use to getting stupidity upset with themselfs on socials but now the tables are turning the whole world is against you in a different modern hate way with ex footballer pundits to rival fans wishing or the other of its own local rival to beat us.

One thing I will say don’t compare natural with plastic no matter how expensive the cost or how it looks (You can’t put sugar on shit and expect it to taste like pancakes) 🤗

Plastic fans with a paid for glory 🥱

Founded in London in 2014 by Aluku Rebels, Aluku Records has grown into one of the underground’s most respected homes for Afro House, Afro Tech and tribal electronic music 🌍

Rooted in deep percussion, spiritual groove and other avenues of Afro-electronic sounds, the label has built a strong identity through releases from artists across the global scene, helping push the deeper side of Afro-infused dance music forward for more than a decade.

Featuring music from Da Capo, Culoe de Song, Afrokillerz, Dr Feel, Thakzin, Dwson and other names across the Afro House and Afro Tech spectrum, here are some of our favorite cuts from the catalog ✨
