“Imagine looking back one day and realizing you were brave enough to chase the life you really wanted, and it actually worked.” by @alulamag

Have you ever felt like you had to choose between your passions? ✨

I used to think I did. I loved Design as much as I loved Travel. And so I thought, that I had to decide if I was more of a creative designer or a constant traveler.

But, actually, I didn’t have to choose.

The moment I stopped trying to fit into one path, I began creating my own.

That’s how ✨Álula Mag @alulamag was born. Out of that split identity and the urge to make the world my canvas…

With Álula, I want to turn every journey into design inspiration, and every design into a reason to keep exploring.

So, if you’re chasing more than one dream too, come follow along and let’s design the way we travel together. by @alulamag

What freedom feels like 🍃🌿 by @alulamag

Probably one of the highlights of my trip to Bali was booking this session with the amazing creative team @indiralaksmi_bali

It was such a fun experience. My girls Anya @adnyaswariii @mayanyart and Ratna @ratnaa_kd made me look like true royalty, in a traditional-contemporary Balinese style. I mean, look at those head pieces. The details in the fabrics, the styling… I love how it blends traditional heritage with a modern twist.

Then Gus and the photo team of @indiralaksmi_bali took those awesome shots inside the studio, by the terrace and outside in the nearby temple. The photos came out gorgeous!

The more I travel the more I realize how unique each trip is. The travel experience looks so different to different people. Where we choose to stay, eat, explore, splurge… no trip is the same, even if it is the same place.

I’m particular, I’ve learned to appreciate the experience different accommodations give. I used to be a backpacker when I was young, and stayed in hostels and cheap hotels. I didn't care much back then, but in fact that shaped my experiences. As I grew older, my preferences changed and with that my experiences.

Now, I rather splurge a little more and look for a tad fancier accommodation. But one category steals my heart every time: boutique hotels. Those can make me go crazy excited, haha. I could write so much about why I find them fascinating (actually I might do it).

What about you? Which is your favorite kind of accommodation lately? by @alulamag

Wishing all your travel dreams come true, one destination at a time ✨ by @alulamag

¡Te cuento en los comentarios!

I love textures, colors, forms. I’m a designer and as any good designer I’m obsessed with details. But traveling has shown me that what I love the most is the endless meanings behind them.

Do you know what is this detail? 🤍
I’ll share in the comments! by @alulamag

Which one are you? 🔖 A) someone who plans their travels in January for the rest of the year or B) someone who loves Improvising as months go by? by @alulamag

Traveling solo feels like you become this tini-tiny being, at the feet of the immensity of the world you’re about to discover.

Traveling solo also means taking care of yourself, enjoying the scenery while staying aware of your surroundings. So you have to feel huge, invincible, enormous. Because you are.

This series of photos made me smile because that’s exactly how I feel when I travel alone. How do you feel about solo travel?

_

Travel, travel, travel… that’s all I could think of. That was the starting point that led to countless hours of work dedicated to create a space around travel.

At certain point I thought of it as a means to arriving to a destination, now I think about it more like an incessant coming and going, just like the waves.

A new issue is in the works… by the way.

-
