Often times , I would hear that clients would be “scared” — not about the service but just the person. It took me awhile to understand that from their own perspective.

Now I get it — back before COVID people would find someone and stick to them just from knowing them and being loyal but times have definitely changed.

Sometimes knowing someone can get comfortable after awhile and other areas start to suffer within business.

Being a client is way more deserving than just reserving an appointment.

You should be met with softness & luxury from the moment you’re greeted to the moment you leave the chair.

I used to think that becoming a “great lash tech” meant becoming the fastest

Boy was I wrong lol

This mindset slowed down my growth as an artist and was hurting my retention !

As an artist, I rushed:

🫧isolation
🫧placement
🫧mapping
🫧retention checks

This is all because I thought speed mattered more than understanding technique.

Technique is what matters in the long run, not speed.

And the truth is ? Clients will always remember quality more than your speed. They’re investing their time & money, you really think they care about speed.

When I slowed down & shifted my focus, everything changed:

🫧my retention improved
🫧clients started to trust me more
🫧work look clearer
🫧my confidence increased

This is why it is extremely important that beginner lash techs get more guidance instead of looking at random videos online
