Some Details of

Untitled
2026
sugar, paper, wood

For this work, I used sugar and paper together for the first time. During the process, I noticed how the sugar slowly crystallizes because of the humidity in the air. The work is constantly changing and cannot be permanently preserved. I found this especially interesting in the context of the shower, which I see as a place of transition. The material itself continues to change over time, reflecting that idea.

I'm excited to keep exploring these two materials and see where this research leads. During my residency at @hausdespapiers , I want to continue working with sugar and paper and develop this investigation further. taken in Universität Der Künste by @alvar.bohrmann

Runnnnnndgang 2026 at @udkberlin with my beloved @klasseinaweber was a blast ✨

Some people couldn't help themselves and verified with their tongues that the side panels of my installation were made of sugar.

Some impressions from our exhibition 𝓦𝓲𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷, @roomtoexpand.udk , which I’ve been meaning to share for a while.

Inside the hood, a sound piece is playing that I don’t want to share on Instagram. It is a sound installation composed of more than 20 audio recordings of people singing in the shower — songs they associate with a moment of transition or change in their lives. My deepest thanks to everyone who sent me recordings earlier this year.

For me, this work feels more like an interim state. For some time now, I’ve been working on a different architectural form through which the sound installation will eventually be experienced. Still, I wanted to share some photographs of it, as it was a special exhibition. taken in Uferstudios Für Zeitgenössischen Tanz by @alvar.bohrmann

drypoint etching, soy ink on handmade paper
2025

I recently completed a print series based on in limbo, fragmented. Revisiting the spiral staircase made of tablecloths disappearing into the wall allowed me to bring the graphic qualities of the work back into focus. Through a more drawing-based approach, I found a different way to express the emotion at the core of the piece.

At the end of this month, I’ll be showing two of the six large-scale prints in an exhibition for the Heussen Perspective Award in Berlin. I’m looking forward to presenting the work alongside additional prints and an installation. Hope to see you there! taken in Berlin, Germany by @alvar.bohrmann

Various long-used towels have been stiffened and formed into Ionic columns, their dimensions responding to the architecture of the exhibition space.

The work reflects on contrasts between hard and soft, old and new, public and intimate, proximity and distance, emotion and reason — extending its dialogue beyond the physical space. taken in Galerie Gruppe Motto by @alvar.bohrmann
