received my onyx storm dust jacket from @bluelyboo and i’m in love 😍😍 these gorgeous dust jackets make my neutral heart so happy. i also got this stunning pin that i’m going to keep on my tote!

ps i took inspiration from several girlies on here, one being @jordansjournals_, to use a fanned out book in this picture 🥰 i was nervous about having to crack some spines but i opened this onyx storm hardcover and it just fanned out beautifully on its own so i think i got lucky lol

pps does anyone know where i can get an onyx storm hardcover that does NOT have sprayed edges? do these exist? by @alvordreads

you guysssss i finally got all three of my bookshelves set up together 👏🏻👏🏻 probably not properly organized; some shelves are by author and others are by genre and then others are random. and let’s be honest, they’ll probably be rearranged more than once 🤣

i can’t wait to add more cute accessories and of course more books 🥰 by @alvordreads

“i felt and saw and smelled that bond between us, until our scents merged, and i was his and he was mine, and we were the beginning and middle and end. we were a song that had been sung from the very first ember of light in the world.”

loved this one. the first half of the book i wasn’t quite getting all the hype. but then things started getting good - i fell in love with feyre and rhysand’s story the more i learned about it, such a unique twist on a love story that i didn’t see coming. and that cliffhanger?! i did have a difficult time picturing some of the scenes and creatures and i can’t say i love this world as much as i love the world that’s the empyrean series, but i am thoroughly enjoying it. by @alvordreads

happy one year to onyx storm! ⚡️🖤

i’ve been seeing everyone else’s posts and had to join in as it’s so special to me. i remember i was about a month into my bookstagram, and the upcoming release of this book was allllll the hype. i had major fomo and ended up ordering the book, not even having read the first two. i quickly jumped into fourth wing and that’s where my obsession began. this series is now my most favorite ever and i fear i might die waiting on book four. jk. but hurry up rebecca!! by @alvordreads

after feyre kills a wolf, she’s taken away by a creature to a magical land she had only heard stories of to pay retribution.

i’m really glad i gave this book a reread! i read it over two years ago and gave it only two stars. happy to say i liked it much more the second time around. at first i thought it was unbelievable and didn’t make any sense, but then you learn why tamlin and rhysand and everyone did what they did and it all comes together and i really like that in books. now i guess it’s time to find out why we hate tamlin 😅 by @alvordreads

i don’t even know…collins moves back home to sweetwater peak to rekindle her relationship with ghosts, and falls in love and helps save her parents along the way?

i’m so confused. what did i just read in 337 pages? like, nothing?? this book had no depth, no plot! i didn’t even annotate a single line. there were so many things that should have been explored/talked about more that just weren’t. brady and collins have like no major connection or conversations then the next thing i know they’re willing to walk to the ends of the earth for each other. this book was supposed to be about ghosts and yet the ghosts were very minimal and anti climatic. the ending seemed so far fetched from the rest of the story it just didn’t make sense. i didn’t hate the characters, i thought they were cute, but i’m sadly just mostly unimpressed by this one. at least i got to use my cutie ghost bookmark from @meaggiemoos by @alvordreads

in the sixth and final book of the sparrow falls series (😭) we learn about kye and fallon’s history. they yearned for each other for 14 years, and a devastating circumstance pulls them to finally be together in a marriage of convenience.

their story was so beautiful. i felt so badly for kye because of his past and the demons he was still fighting. this book covered some heavy topics and i feel catherine handled them with such care. i loved catching up with all the past characters and learning more of where they ended up. my only complaint was i found some of the dialogue to be cheesy… all the “ink” references were really getting cringey. other than that, I really liked this book and felt it was just a perfect way to wrap up the series! thanks so much to catherine and her team for the arc 🫶🏻 by @alvordreads
