Happy 19th Birthday to my first baby. ❤️🎂

I don’t know how the summer went by so fast. It feels like we just brought you home, and now your second year of college is already beginning. I’m so thankful we got to make some memories together—even if we only got a tiny bit of Hawaii 😂🌺 and, of course, our amazing trip to Japan. 🇯🇵

But more than anything, I’m grateful you were home. Having everyone under one roof reminded me just how whole my heart feels when we are all together. Those ordinary days, the conversations, the laughter, and simply having you home are the moments I treasure most.

As you start your second year of college, I want you to know how incredibly proud I am of you. Keep pushing through, even when it gets hard. Everything you’re working toward is building your future, and I know you’re capable of amazing things. ❤️

Go have fun. Go play volleyball. Make memories. Continue performing your duties and singing in the choir—perform with all your heart, and try not to sleep! 😂❤️ And please… FaceTime your family! We may not be able to have you home all the time anymore, but we’ll always be here, cheering you on every step of the way.

Watching you grow into the young man you are becoming is one of my greatest joys. I’m so proud to be your mama, and I hope you always know how deeply you are loved.

Breakfast after worship service with my family is truly one of my happy places. 🤍

Different conversations happening around the room—catching up on choir, talking about the lesson, sharing what’s going on in each other’s lives, and simply enjoying being together.

I love every version of my kids, but my mama heart still misses the versions I’ll never see again.

In 2020, we sent our 5th graders home, not knowing what the next few years would look like. They left elementary school carrying backpacks, uncertainty, and so many questions about what was happening in the world.

And somehow… they’re seniors now.

The little kids who came home that day are now getting ready to graduate and step into the next chapter of their lives.

I’m not ready. Not even a little. Watching them grow up has been one of the most beautiful and emotional things to witness. It feels like yesterday, and yet somehow, here we are.

From 5th grade in a world that stopped to seniors ready to take on the world.
