Strangers in Print is back this October & November! Four sessions across Sydney & Melbourne.

Strangers in Print is a collaborative zine-making workshop centred on creative exchange and chance. Participants are given a blank zine and begin by creating a series of “calls” in their own pages. These can be creative prompts, questions, images or words - before passing the zines around the room, where others add their own responses through collage, drawing, or writing. By the end, each person takes home a one-of-a-kind publication shaped by the hands of the unique group that attends on that day.

No skills or materials required, just bring yourself and an open mind.

There's lots of eggy friends to take home from our new range of original illustrations and artworks by our Creative Director Ruby PH @irlrubyph

Series 001 brings you 25 original mixed media illustrations of Tamagotchi's, all with a different friend and unique details. Find your new eggy friend online https://alwaysfriends.shop/collections/originals

Details → 2026 | 210 x 297mm | Permanent marker, gel pastel, pencil, pen and stationary on 250gsm archival art paper

♡ Each artwork in the series is one-of-one illustration, there is no other like it in the world.

☆ Original artwork is made by hand in real time, so you may notice small inconsistencies, smudging, or marks on the paper. It's a part of the process of making art, so we encourage you to embrace these imperfections as part of what makes the piece unique.

so many pencil cases…so many pens…so many choices…

surely only one pen fits in this super minimalist leather pencil case?

boom! four pens!

this standing canvas pencil case also comes in denim and beige…

and can fit 9 brush pens, a highlighter, 4 black pens and a ruler!

how about the super fancy leather pencil case? this one feels soooo nice to touch

almost every black pen we have in the shop (17 to be exact)

maybe a flat canvas pencil case is more your style?

this bad boy can fit a ruler, 3 textas, 3 highlighters, 3 felt tip pens, 3 brush pens, a stamp and a set of sticky notes!

this denim one folds up so neat and compact…

but holds so much! 11 coloured pencils, 1 lead pencil, 1 super fancy brass encased lead, a tape measure, 2 rubbers, a ruler and a glue stick!

the big kahuna…

ready? ok! 4 highlighters, 12 felt tip pens, another black pen, 4 washi tapes, a full sized journal, 2 notepads, 4 stamps, 1 ink pad, a clip and a set of pencils! (and i think there was still room!) by @alwaysfriends.shop
