My son, you have been blessed with strong roots.
Now grow under the sun however you may.
I’ll watch from here and root you on.
You’re a piece of me, but you are not me.
Walk your path and carry my love with you.
And wherever life takes you, know that I’ll always be proud that you’re my son.
-Dad

The strongest roots grow in darkness.
So does the strongest soul.
We do not discover our strength in comfort.
We discover it by facing what we would rather avoid.
Only then do we become impossible to uproot.

“Here is where our real selfhood is rooted, in the divine spark or seed, in the image of God imprinted on the human soul.
The True Self is not our creation, but God's. It is the self we are in our depths.
It is our capacity for divinity and transcendence.”

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
