Denver you were so good to use this weekend. Sooo many pictures to post and share but here's a few for now.

Spent a little mini getaway with my lovely wife 💕

We spent friday galavanting across the city taking photos at all the vintage photobooths we could find.
We went to many speakeasys, enjoyed yummy foods.
Our hotel had a 24hr pool/hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed after a long day of walking around the city.

We met up with some friends Saturday for dinner and THE most insane, amazing Alice and Wonderland Cabaret. 10/10 will be going back!

Sunday we ended with a slow morning packing up, grabbing a coffee at a cute little coffee shop on the west side, and slowly making our way back home.

Denver is one of our favorite places to visit and we look forward to coming back (and soon).

Here's the thing.... for almost a month I have been struggling to get to the gym. I hyper extended my knee during pride, I went from working Pride fest to ABQ Fringe (which I absolutely loved), to having long and exhausting work days.... needless to say ive been feeling super burnt out. Ive also been battling my severe anemia, which hopefully will get under control soon (pending Dr's. Appts).
My depression somehow crept up in the midst of everything and I have been battling the mental game of going to the gym after the day is done.

Today I almost fell into the bad routine of going home and saying "I'll do it tomorrow."

Not today. When I say I Forced myself.. I FOOORRRCCCCED myself to just change into my gym clothes and drive to the gym.

I am BEYOND thrilled that I went today. It kicked started my good routine back up and I feel loads better. I also didn't push myself too hard, which at times I have a hard time not doing.

Life is hard. Struggles happen. Depression likes to be more presente. Keep going. Those small victories lead to bigger ones ❤️ 💪 by @aly.malia

June Recap: Albuquerque you have been so good to me this June ❤️ Started off with a visit from Dad, and got to show him all the things we love about our city. Might have convinced him and mom to move out here. Mid June PRIDE kicked off and I worked it for thr first time 💪 Amazing performances by incredible performers, surrounded by a loving community and safe space. Got to meet up with some out of town friends (@gardeningmayberrys LOVED seeing your face!!).
Ended June with partaking in the ABQ Fringe festival/ ADC Showcase where my oh so talented friend @jesswilsonchoreography Choreographed and Directed her piece, ReMemory. So grateful to have been apart of such a masterpiece, doing Stage Production/ Stage Management. The Dancers gave it their all and we witnesses pure magic on that stage ✨️
Got to see the joy of a friend leave a job (on good terms) to continue pursuing their degree and passion.
Celebrated another friend for landing their dream job and start the move back east (can't wait to visit)!

As June comes to an end, one chapter closes and another's about to begin. Your girl is TIRED and is looking forward to some much needed rest.
However.... more to come and more to experience.
I have been reminded this entire month of how lucky I am to live here. How community might look and feel different from back east but that's okay.
ABQ is unlike no other place I've lived.
The southwest is truly a hidden gem.

Sappho night: Dayton Sprinf Break edition was innsaaaaane.
The floors were packed, the DJs were killin it, the Go-Go dancers were fabulous, and the performers/show was a huge hit.
Not sure if I prefer working Sappho night or attending yet... ha but all around such a good time!
Love being apart of a community where anyone and everyone in the fam feel safe and heard. by @aly.malia

Worked my first Saints Ball last night at Sidewinders Bar and Grill and I can truly say there is nothing more comforting and welcoming then being surrounded by love and support from your community.
Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and it was all around a BLAST!
Shout out to wifey for doing a quick makeup design for me before I headed out. ❤️

Brie Voltmer today we had your funeral.
It was beautiful and everyone did a great job.
So many people showed up.
So many expressed their love for you, memories with you, and many shed tears.
Kai had every one crying as he read the eulogy.
I sat there trying to be the strong one.

This wasn't how things were supposed to go. We were supposed to rule the research world, create a compound for family and us, try a million more restaurants, and low-key judge people who lacked common sense.

I miss you so much. I miss our inside jokes and our side eye. Lol.
Today was hard for so many...but it truly was so beautiful.
