𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐬

Alejandra Collazos is a South Florida artist and New World School of the Arts graduate whose multidisciplinary practice brings together graphite portraiture, textiles, sculpture, video, and stitch work. Influenced by her family’s tradition of making and her mother’s sewing practice, Collazos combines highly detailed graphite drawings with fabric to create soft sculptures that blur the boundaries between fine art and craft. Her work reflects a thoughtful exploration of portraiture through unexpected materials and tactile forms.

Collazos will be exhibiting alongside a diverse group of South Florida artists at 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐞, an evening featuring art, live performances, DJs, and treats. The event will also accept donations to support victims of recent earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia.

“Moments” - The soft opening of the artful exchange was such a wonderful experience. It was so fun talking to so many amazing people and showing alongside such talented artists. Thank you Jennyfer for the opportunity to share my work, I went out of my comfort zone submitting my work to a show out of town but it was 100% worth it to experience the wonderful art community in orlando.

The show will be on display until December 21st at the Artful Exchange in the Milk District and the space will be activated for future shows, events and many other art community activities. by @alycollazos
