Thank you! I am so grateful for all that this year has brought. I know that I thrive in life and in art because of the immense love and support of my family and friends. Thank you. I hope this day is filled with good food and delicious company.

I am filled with gratitude after two wonderful weekends of Art Trails! From surprise visits with family and a dear high school friend, to all the new folks I’ve met this year, to my wonderful community who shows up for me every year, I am gloriously exhausted, happy and grateful. Paintings found new homes and ideas and inspiration were flowing. Thank you @sebastopolarts for managing this amazing event. Thank you to my husband, my best friend and all my kids! I couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s to next time!!! by @alysondobbertart

Today and tomorrow! The last weekend of Art Trails 2026. ☺️

Are you coming by?

Got plans tomorrow? Well I’ve got an idea for you. 🎨

We’ve been prepping all month to welcome you into my studio for @sonomacountyarttrails and tomorrow is opening day.

I am Studio 121 and you can come from 10am to 5pm tomorrow and Sunday (and next weekend too).

See you soon!

ART TRAILS THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT! Will I see you there?

These reveals crack me up because you really can’t tell how big this piece is gonna be! This time? A little smaller than last time! 😅 36” x 24”

This piece is called “Lift”. I had been collaging on pieces of paper and thought I’d tried to my hand at using those same techniques on a larger canvas though only using paint. I love the spilled, watered down ink in the background! This process continues to inspire me and I’m adding it to more pieces.

🔴 SOLD! Always so grateful and excited when a painting finds a new home. The new owner has agreed to let me keep it through Art Trails so come by to check it out along with others in this same series!

Art Trails: October 10/11 and 17/18. 9 more days!!! Wow!

One of the perks of prepping for Open Studios is getting projects done around the studio that we’ve meant to do for years. A 7’ couch that only the cats used has become a 2’ cozy cat tree they love. A door that gave everyone splinters if touched, becomes a shiny white functional door. Plants I thought I’d killed are growing roots waiting to be transplanted. I’m surrounded by colors and cats and nature and room to move. How blessed!

I love painting large. This one? 60” high by 48” wide. “Translation” is part of my “Ion” series ( all the paintings end in -ion, get it? 😉).

As a colorist, this swath of black has me shook AND I love it.

Save the dates! 📅🎨

The second and third weekend in October my studio (121) will be open for Sonoma County Art Trails.

I’m excited to welcome everyone back for the third year. I have loads of new work so I hope if you have been before you’ll come again.

Bonus: get a garden tour when you’re here!

The final 6 pieces of the “Realm” series!

There is something in each one of these that I love. While they hold the same structure, they manifested so individually. I love how they each have their own uniqueness and special jewel! Like you!
