Hi all, I’ve been having a rough couple of nights and was told I would be transitioning from this earth most likely in the hours to days up ahead.

Obviously this is a post I never intended to have to make…. And it makes me so sad to post it. I have loved my life. A lot of it has been full of pain but there has been SO much goodness, love, and it has been filled with God and his glory.

I hope if you’ve taken anything from my posts, it’s this: Life is hard. But we pick our hard, and I’ve tried to pick the path that bring the most happiness, the most light, the most good and God. That path is the right one 🩷 the path that brings about the most peace is always the best 🩷

I ask that you please pray this verse with me:

✨ O Lord, I come to you today to ask you to bring calmness to me, who is sick and dying from cancer.. Showme your love as I go through this challenging time. If it’s your will to heal me, then we humbly ask you to do so. But if you have other plans for my soul, we ask you to guide me to heaven peacefully.
It’s our prayer that God removes from our hearts anything that brings fear and uncertainty. As I fight this battle, remind me that I am not alone. As long as You are here, they have a helping hand. As I reach the end of my earthly lives, receive them into your presence, and let them witness your glory. In the name of the Savior, we believe and pray, Amen. ✨ by @alyssacaranogrant

Alyssa’s Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 21st at Church on the Hill in McMinnville at 11:00 am. All are welcome, with a reception at the church to follow. by @alyssacaranogrant

Alyssa passed away today and went to be with Jesus. One of her final wishes was that I post to social media so people following her journey would know. Her cancer journey was one of the hardest things I have ever seen someone endure, and unfortunately she was in immense pain right up until she passed. I asked her how I could live my life to honor her. Her response “Don’t ever lose your faith in God. I know it is tempting right now, but don’t. He always loves us.” During this horrible time I believe she would want us to turn to Jesus, and know God is good all the time.

Alyssa accepted and loved all people, and in honor of that we will be holding an open celebration of life ceremony for her in the coming weeks. I will provide details in a future post. Thank you everyone for all of your support, love, and prayers. God bless.

I love you so, so much Alex. We’ve been together for almost a decade (!!!) which is crazy to think about. We’e had some really happy moments, and quite a bit of sad moments too. But I wouldn’t change anything for the world 🌎 🩵💙 #hubby #besthusband I love you forever 🩷 by @alyssacaranogrant
