today minha vó turns 87 🥹 a woman made of quiet strength and endless love. her love built me & her strength carries me every day. there’s nothing in this world like colo de vó, a place where even ur heaviest days feel lighter. being so far away will always be hard but even with miles & borders between us, i feel her with me always. in my courage, in my softness, in the way i keep going. when my world felt like it was falling apart, she reminded me who i am & helped me find my way back to myself thru every word of advice & prayer. i find healing and beauty in sharing small moments with her - her morning teas & late night soups - picking mangoes - listening to the birds sing & the sound of water gathering drop by drop, hands busy with simple work as we hand wash clothes & hang them to dry ♡ to be loved by her & to learn from her wisdom is the greatest gift and blessing i’ll never take for granted & i feel so lucky to be her granddaughter & a descendant of the strongest women i know. feliz aniversário, vózinha ♡ by @alyssademelo_

🥹✨ what a magical run. surrounded by 18,000 women running a half marathon together. it was so fun seeing friends out there crushing it!! i felt so inspired and emotional bc i was not confident going into this race. the last 3 weeks my training went downhill, ofc i was on day 2 of my cycle so i felt awful all day and wanted to tap out before the race even started 😂, but the city showed up for us!!! & really pushed me thru. shout to all the lil kids i high fived screaming girl power 🥹 the energy was insane! my goal was 2:15 & i finished in 2:09 with a 13 minute PR 😭 and with no music!! 😂 so proud of myself. so proud of all of us. we can do anything!!! 🥹✨🥰 also i met coach bennet at the start line??? 😂 and got some words of encouragement in real life !! when i tell yall he got me thru so many runs on the NRC app!! 😂 loved that lil glitter moment ✨✨✨ #nikeafterdark #nikeafterdarktour2025 by @alyssademelo_
