we saw grey whales (not pictured) and the cutest seals, eagles and more!

absolute non-negotiable pit stop when you’re in Tofino is Tacofino

we split a crispy chicken burrito (highly recommend) as they loadddd those bad boys up and still wanted to be hungry by dinner time, but def get your own if you’re super hungry

My first solo trip will forever hold a place in my heart 🩷 Not in a cliché “I found myself” way. Genuinely because I feel like I reconnected with myself.

During this trip I cried, I laughed, I was scared, I was brave, I felt insecure, I felt confident.

Being alone. Making connections with strangers. Strolling with zero itinerary. Jumping on trains in the morning and seeing where I’d end up.

I learned to rely on myself and I made some amazing friends along the way who helped me see the world differently.

Every time I felt something, I took my camera out.

Èze!! 🇫🇷 My first night in Nice, I went on a solo pub crawl. So unlike me to do solo, but I was desperate to get out and meet people. Thankfully I found two actual angels, Yara & Niamh, and we ended up spending the rest of the night together.

Naturally, over some pizza at 3am from the Nice pizza vending machine (still the coolest thing ever), we decided a day trip to Èze the next morning was a great idea and were up at 7am to catch the train.

None of us realized what we’d signed up for. Èze is built straight up a hillside, so we hiked for hours, literally scaling this mountain on no sleep. I remember us sitting in gratitude when we finally made it to this view and talking about how proud of ourselves we were to all travel solo to the south of France, meet each other and then continue our trip and end up in such a beautiful place🤍

Menton!! 🇫🇷 One thing I didn’t do on this trip (also not particularly like me, but solo tripping def brought out a new side of me) was research literally anything. I had zero clue what this place looked like, what there was to do, or if it was even ”worth” it.

What I did know was it was that it boarders Italy, was 35 mins and 8€ train ticket from Nice, so I was sold!!

Menton was another pinch me moment where I felt so in awe of all the architecture and bright colours, and I’d audibly walk around just saying “WOW.” This was SUCH a nice city to walk into blind🤍

Villefranche-sur-Mer!! 🇫🇷 This town is right next to Nice and somehow I didn’t visit it until my very taken in South of France by @alyssainframes
