Everyone who knows me knows I wanted a pup since I was basically an embryo. And everyone who's known me since I got said pup knows I wanted a photoshoot with her from the moment we met. It might sound corny, but adopting Summer unlocked a kind of joy and love I didn't know existed before. Having her as both my first dog and my soul dog has been magical, and I'm so grateful to Terran at @westwaystudio for capturing that essence in her photography. I love this goofy, majestic fluff ball with my whole heart! ๐Ÿฅน (Yes, I will be posting an obnoxious number of photos on the grid because they make me cry and I love them so much) #shepsky #shepskysofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #pupsofinstagram #cryingforeveroverthesepics by @alyssanambiar

Your teeth wanna tattle and confess to me ๐Ÿฅ€ Thank you @sofia_isella for not only a show but an experience, and for finding me in the crowd during Hot Gum to share such a strong moment together. Truly a memory I'll never forget โœจ #sofiaisella by @alyssanambiar

It occurred to me that I have not shown signs of life ~on the grid~ in several months so here are some wonderful moments recent-ish-ly!!! Here's to the important things in life: fronds (NOT anemones), dogs, family, the Jane Austen cinematic universe, and Nick's breakfast burritos ๐Ÿ’ž by @alyssanambiar
Alaska was a dream, both past and present: somewhere I'd wanted to go since childhood, and now one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Last week, I learned how to ride a snowmobile and didn't even fall off once (I know - swag). A group of amazing sled dogs led me on a journey through the boreal forest. Not one, but two sets of incredible women took me under their wings, taught me everything about chosen family, and showed me how to live life on my own terms. A very special baby reindeer named Gary - the resilient runt of the litter - gave me kisses, groomed me, and welcomed me into his herd, despite being rejected from it in the past. And, after decades of dreaming, I finally witnessed the northern lights in all their otherworldly glory. Alaska transformed me. It made me focus on what really matters: joy, love, and connection. It taught me that solitude and togetherness are two sides of the same coin. And it showed me that kindred spirits are all around us. Sometimes you meet them through a shared love of mac and cheese, hot chocolate, and animals. Sometimes they teach you to never lose your "y'all", to be brave by keeping your heart open. And sometimes they're a baby who's a little bit different, whose spunk and character make them more endearing than they know. Until our spirits meet again. ๐Ÿ’ž๐ŸŒŒ #fairbanks #alaska #reindeer #northernlights #auroraborealis by @alyssanambiar

32 and still growing up now ๐Ÿ’• Finally met THE Fillion Nazareth, named a seagull Sylvio (after Pam's grandma), bonded with the most amazing people, and only got lost thrice. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Birthday week in the Bay was a smashing success! #fillionnazareth #zoevalentinakumarmenon #phoenixkumarmenon by @alyssanambiar
Sometimes I think my life is just a series of mad libs strung together. That's the only way "seeing @katiegavs at a cemetery the night before Thanksgiving, accompanied by @flurtcobain and Enya" makes any sense. #katiegavin #whatarelieftour ๐Ÿ“๐ŸฆŽ by @alyssanambiar
