This January was fast o….or its just me

Slide 1: What I read in January. Atomic Habits is such a solid read, I really recommend

Slide 2: What I am reading this month. I actually started reading when Mr. Molehin @yomimol recommended during GWR Live edition organised by Mrs Molehin @morenikemolehin last year. It was so good and I couldn’t finish it but hopefully this time, I would be able to finish it

Started a digital marketing course with @dgi_africa, and it has been such a transformative journey so far. We studied the different aspects of digital marketing, where we explored how to conduct primary and secondary market research to understand the needs and challenges of our target customers. We're then tasked to conduct a market research via survey using a Google form for Eco-fusion, a startup that specialises in creating eco- friendly home goods and also develop a buyer persona using Canva that outlines the hobbies, interests, goals, pain points and challenges of Eco-fusion's target customers.

Slide 2: The past week was the Youth Ministry week celebration at my church, and I had so much fun

ON TRUSTING GOD
Over the past week, we welcomed some final year students to our company for a plant tour. As I stood before them to give a welcome address, I could see anxiety and uncertainty written all over their faces. Right in that moment, I could not help but remember myself in the same spot about 4 years ago. From experience, I knew their minds were racing wild with thoughts as the future loomed ahead with so many uncertainties.
So, today’s post is a letter to my younger self; a reminder to those currently in that stage of transitioning to the real world from school. It can be a lot, but the truth is you will be fine. Research has shown that 90% of our fears never come to pass. Many things you are worried about might never come to pass. And those that will, will not last forever. The night will soon pass, and you will come out stronger. With time, all things will fall in their rightful place. Time is all you need; so be patient with yourself and trust God as he leads you through the hills and the valleys also. Will there be long nights? Certainly! But it will not always be dark. One day, the light will come, and everything will make sense.
So, if you are in a dark season right now, I urge you to take heart and rest in the assurance that though it may not seem so; God is right there with you. Be encouraged with the words of Psalm 23:4 TPT ;

“'Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.'

On dimming your light
I was always the kind of person who would not do a lot of things or even say the things I know because I did not want to be seen as "doing too much." The few times I summed courage to do either of both, I was always worried about how uncomfortable I was making people.

I have grown so much now to realise that sometimes, it is really all just in my head. Other people are so preoccupied with what is going on in their lives that they have little time to look over their shoulders to see what you are doing. But there is also that group that has time for other people's business, yours included, and will actually think you are being "too much." And it's fine if they think so. You live for the audience of one; thus, the God who created you and put this purpose in your heart.

Avoid comparison at all costs. Not everyone is called to do "too much." There are "Abrahams, " and there are "Lots. " And if God leads you to understand that you are an Abraham, then it is okay to do "too much."
Don't dim your light by no means to make people comfortable if God has called you to be a bright and shining light.
People will adjust often times, and even if they don't, please remember that it is okay to displease men to please God.
So this week, if it aligns with your God-given purpose, then go out and do "too much."
Live large and free for God.
