Bali is beautiful, but there are a few things I wish I knew before going. 🇮🇩

1. The traffic can seriously eat into your day, so give yourself extra time between plans.

2. Some experiences are surprisingly affordable. I was getting hour long massages for about $15 almost every day. 😭

3. Beautiful and friendly does not mean let your guard down. I had a cab driver disappear for over 20 minutes and then become verbally abusive when we went looking for him.

None of this ruined Bali for me. I just wish someone had told me beforehand.

I spent 3 days in Lisbon and honestly… I wouldn’t do everything the same again.

Some spots are 100% worth it.
Some are just hype.

Lisbon is beautiful, but it’s also hilly, busy, and easy to get wrong if you don’t plan it right.

If you’re going, this is exactly how I’d do it again (and what I’d skip).

Things I wish I knew before spending a full day in Lisbon 🇵🇹

They don’t call it the city of seven hills for nothing… everything looks so close on the map, but those hills will humble you 😅

The day adds up quickly if you’re not intentional.

Still one of my favourite days from the trip.

Also, I’m sure I butchered some of these names 🤭

Still figuring out where to go this December? ☀️

Here are 3 places I’d have on my radar if I wanted some sunshine:

🇪🇬 **Egypt** for the pyramids, ancient temples and exploring without the intense summer heat.

🇬🇹 **Guatemala** for Lake Atitlán, volcano views and beautiful little towns.

🇹🇭 **Thailand** for beach days, island hopping and really good food.

Three very different trips, but December is a good time to look into all three.

A few of you suggested checking out Cobourg in the comments of my last few posts, so I took note. 👀

Turns out, it’s so much more than just a beach day. 🇨🇦

Waterfront views, a walkable downtown, history, arts, local shops and plenty of little spots to explore.

Beautiful? Absolutely. But no one prepared me for the leg workout that is Bellagio’s staircases. 😅

We only spent one night in Lake Como, so I know we barely scratched the surface. But honestly, I left a little underwhelmed, mostly because I kept comparing it to Lake Louise.

Maybe Instagram set my expectations too high, but I personally found Lake Louise more impressive. 🏔️✨

Would I go back? Maybe. But now I’m curious… have you been to both? Which one did you prefer?

The Trevi Fountain is even more beautiful in person… but this is the part I didn’t know. 🥹

The coins thrown into the fountain are collected and given to Caritas Roma to support people in need across Rome.

So yes, make your wish. You might be helping someone else’s too. ✨

Anyone else go through a Titanic obsession phase growing up? 😂

Because apparently, there’s a Titanic-era passenger steamship sitting right here in Kingston.

The S.S. Keewatin was built in 1907 and is the last remaining Titanic-era passenger steamship in the world. After decades carrying passengers across the Great Lakes, you can now step inside it at the Great Lakes Museum and honestly, it feels like a little time capsule.

The old dining room, cabins, luggage and all those original details made this way more interesting than I expected.

And yes, it was raining. Obviously, that wasn’t stopping me. 😂

You don’t always need a flight to feel like you’ve escaped somewhere. 🍷🇨🇦

I spent an afternoon at Adamo Estate Winery in Mono, Ontario — walking through the vineyard, having lunch, sipping wine and enjoying a slower kind of day.

And the best part? It’s about 1.5 hours from Toronto.

If you’re looking for a pretty day trip without leaving Ontario, I’d put this one on your list.

One minute you’re fully active, the next you can’t keep your eyes open to save your life 😭

The amount of power naps I’ve taken on trains and buses just to survive... 30+ battery really drains faster than Duracell.

Take this as your sign to travel now while you still can.

Currently on the hunt for my next travel scent ✈️🤎

L’Occitane Amande Crème Brûlée Hair & Body Fragrance Mist definitely surprised me. The creamy, nutty almond comes through immediately, with vanilla milk and praline giving it that warm, sweet gourmand finish.

It’s lightweight enough for both hair and body, and you can reapply whenever you want a little refresh.

Is it my usual scent? Probably not 😂 But if you love warm, creamy, nutty and sweet fragrances, this one is definitely worth trying.

Could this be my next travel scent? I’m still deciding… 👀

Seville surprised me. 🇪🇸

I expected the colour, the architecture, the courtyards and all the beauty I’d seen in photos. What I didn’t expect was how at ease I’d feel there.

Even with a packed itinerary, Seville never felt chaotic or overwhelming. I loved walking through Santa Cruz, taking in all the little details, sitting in Plaza de España and just experiencing the city.

It’s one of those places where I could genuinely see myself coming back with no big plans — just good food, a book and nowhere I need to be.

Seville, you have my heart. 🤍
