POSTS STORIES REELS
May 2021. Funny how life works. You spend your days trying to make something happen, convinced you're just getting through another project, another uncertain chapter, another season of your life. And years later, you look back and realise you were standing at the beginning of something. There was a story behind getting to Hubbards, too. In the middle of COVID, when borders were closed and the world seemed to have forgotten how to move, three of our crew members and Kimi, our Japanese Akita, had to cross provincial borders to make it to Nova Scotia. Four of us, navigating a strange and uncertain world, trying to make something beautiful out of the circumstances we had. I suppose that's what I remember most. Not just the shoot, but the time around it. The uncertainty of those days, the people who showed up, and the quiet determination to keep creating when so much of life was on hold. Hubbards was where it all began. We didn't know it then. We were too busy living it. Now, as the years have passed and the journey carries us towards places we once could only imagine, there's something rather beautiful about returning to that memory. The world has changed, we have changed, and the horizon keeps moving. But somewhere in all of this, there will always be that little piece of Nova Scotia where the story first took shape. To everyone who trusted us along the way, thank you. For the belief, the patience, the companionship, and for being part of a story that none of us could have written in advance. Perhaps that's the thing about beginnings. They rarely announce themselves. Sometimes, they're just a place, a handful of people, a dog named Kimi, and an idea you're stubborn enough to follow. And then, years later, you look back. And there it is. The beginning. ✨️ Direction : Akhil Chelackal Jose Music : 6091 music On screen : Adit sunny , Amal Chelackal Jose #kummati by @amalcjose
