Memories and ashes/Feryal Birth And Farewell As the hands of time turn, I find myself caught in the eternal dance between beginnings and farewells. Born into this world on February 29th, a day that emerges from the shadows only once in every leap year, Kinda makes it feel extra special, doesn't it? But it's that next day, March 1st, the one that's stamped on my birth certificate, that really hits me. It used to feel like an error, a day that stole my unique birthday. But now, March 1st carries the weight of a thousand lifetimes, mirroring both my arrival and my grandma's farewell. all wrapped into one date. Now, I see it differently. It's crazy how my perspective on it has shifted. That 1st of March will always be mine, cause it symbolizes how, on some level, my grandma and I were always meant to share this date. We had something unique, something meaningful. We Traded Breaths. And today, on my real birthday, I smile through the bittersweet as I say goodbye to my little love, my fish. Had that little buddy swimming around for over a year now. These aren't just dates anymore... by @amalghariib
