Women deserve to dance, be loved, travel, enjoy life, be spoiled, and feel cared for. We deserve support mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, sexually, and in every way that helps us feel valued. But before you decide that your husband isn’t giving you enough, take a moment to look at what he is already providing. Is he working hard to create stability? Is he protecting you, supporting you, helping with the family, and trying to give you a better life in the ways he knows how? We all grow up differently, and many men were never taught how to express their feelings or show love. Sometimes a husband may not communicate his emotions perfectly, but he may still be showing love through his actions and his effort. We can’t only focus on what we want to receive without also recognizing what our husbands are giving and trying to provide. So, take a moment to check on your husband—not to criticize him, but to truly notice him. Look at his effort, his sacrifices, and the ways he is trying to love you. And husbands, remember this too: your wife deserves to feel loved, appreciated, spoiled, and emotionally cared for. Providing financially is important, but affection, attention, kindness, romance, and reassurance matter too. To my husband, thank you for trying to give me a beautiful life. The father of our children. The man who shows up—every single time. I want the world to know what kind of man you are. You are kind. Not the surface-level kind that’s easy when things are going well—but the deep, steady kind that shows up when life gets hard. The kind that listens. The kind that cares.
