POSTS STORIES REELS

Someone asked me the other day, “you all good now?” The answer? Hell no.

* I have no energy. I’m exhausted by 2 PM everyday, & some days I can’t make it off the couch.

* Cleaning is a luxury. Chores pile up until I have enough energy to tackle them.

* Bills are starting to take over my desk, & I still have not received a normal paycheck.

* I feel like I have disappointed everyone in my life. I’m not being a good enough coworker, friend, sister, or daughter.

* I am terrified for what my future holds.

We all know social media is a highlight reel. The reality of my life right now is nothing worth bragging about. I push myself until I can’t move everyday, and I still feel like a complete failure. Recovery from this surgery is no joke. It has beaten me down physically and mentally.

At the end of everyday I have to remind myself, “I beat cancer. It will not beat me.” I may only be half of my normal self right now, but I am still the stubborn, determined perfectionist that you all know. So as the socks say, cancer messed with the wrong bitch. by @amanda.shoultz
