Reflecting on my last day being pregnant with my little boy… anticipating the unknown journey ahead of me these next couple of days as I bring him into this world.

Last night, while experiencing Braxton Hicks, I walked out into our living room, turned on a warm lamp and just looked at myself in a mirror. I took a moment to cherish that woman looking back at me, told her I was proud of her, for her strength & bravery all throughout this fertility journey.

I then embraced my belly thanking God for the gift of getting to experience pregnancy. Even with its challenges, this is something I always dreamed of experiencing and never thought I would. I’m sort of grieving saying goodbye to this stage, to my round belly, while also so ready to hold my baby in my arms.

Thank you to every single person who helped me along the way during this unbelievable season. My amazing family, my friends, my coworkers, new friends, my cousins… I’ve never felt so loved and supported. Please be thinking of me or praying for me tomorrow (Oct 9th) as I get induced at 11:30am PST. In all honesty, I feel unprepared & terrified for the pain… but I’ve made it this far in life & I know there’s an inner strength and resolve in me that will warrior my way through to the end goal. I couldn’t have made it this far without the Source of my strength: Yahweh. 🤍

9 more days until induction, and I’m standing at the threshold of a moment I’ve imagined since I was a little girl. It’s hard to put into words everything I’m carrying at once: hopeful anticipation, utter terror, overwhelming joy, grief, nervousness, excitement… all of it woven together as I prepare to meet our son.

There is so much unknown in birth, so much mystery in surrendering to a process I can’t fully predict or control. So I’m praying that the same God who has carried me this far will continue to be my strength through every moment ahead.

By His grace, I pray for a safe delivery, no complications, and the courage to walk into the unknown trusting that Yahweh will meet me there. 🙏🏽🤍 by @amanda_felice

POV: You have a $0 nursery budget but a baby on the way 🥹🤍

We’ve had SO many expenses between moving to a new country, starting over, and getting ready for baby Sunday… so when it came to his nursery, the budget was quite literally $0. 🫠

Everything in this room was either something we already owned, something we repurposed, or something that was generously gifted to us.

And somehow… it turned into one of my favorite rooms in our home. 🥹

All things our hearts were tempted to do: grow cold, lose hope, settle. I didn’t realize God had so many hopes for me, for our family, and our future.

Never did we imagine His plan would lead us here.

(Eph. 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.)

Now here we are anticipating a hope deferred, to be finally realized in only a few more days.

FINALLY UNPACKED 📦🤪

After moving across the country to Metro Vancouver in my third trimester, we’re officially unpacked and I can’t wait to share some of the before & afters!

This whole moving journey has been WILD to say the least… replete with actual blood, sweat & tears on my end!! BUT we made it, we’re settling in, and now I can finally shift my focus to the biggest thing coming next…
