PERSONA Volume 1. An issue dedicated to and starring @Bella_Freud.

The second of four collectible covers features Bella (2026) an original painting of Bella by the painter @Amanda_Wall.

Bella has a long history as a sitter—she first sat for her father, the painter Lucian Freud, when she was six months old. Sitting for Amanda Wall was a different prospect, a transatlantic undertaking facilitated by technology. “This was my first time painting from a reference image that I didn’t personally photograph, which was so much harder than I had expected,” says Amanda. “But in the end I felt quite free.”

Volume 1 of PERSONA is available now at PERSONA-MAGAZINE.COM. FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING available for the first 48 hours (AEST). by @amanda_wall

The Amanda Wall @amanda_wall “Apocalypstick” story from Purple #45 The New Glamour Issue

Amanda Wall employs painting as an explosive, instinctive language, driven by saturated color, raw materiality, and near-abstract gesture. Her canvases chart an intensely psychosexual landscape shaped by solitude, self-absorption, vulnerability, and perversion, where intimacy is inseparable from exposure.
