Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being in NY and auditioning and being an ✨actor✨Now, at the ripe age of 25 (26 in about two weeks👀) , how literally blessed I am to be doing it. Now don’t get me wrong, this industry is giving… rude, mean and unkind OFTEN (not always but you know it can be rough!) and really more on that later, but like, wowwowowow. It gets me emotional to think about the lil girl that I was, who’d have her little transition lens Harry Potter glasses, her curly baby hairs popping out every time she got sweaty lol, her beautiful skin that wasn’t quite like the other lil ones, a little tummy & figure that also #wasntlikeothergirls , a name like Amanda Dayhoff but a middle name that people found out about and made fun of because it was odd to them? (My middle name is Leticia. My momma’s name!)

Listen, I loved musical theater and was often made out to be weird and othered because of it but putting on musicals in my room, for stuffed animals and closet (no joke) helped me escape from those realities of what my life was and just dream.

Someone get lil me and tell her we did it. And we’re gonna KEEP doing it babyyyyy.

Omg. Now that it’s been about a week.. here is proof of the Potts. This was my third time playing Ms. Cup TM ( @bradyamaya1 )and now I can say I can sing with a puppet! And quite well… might I add.

About a week and a few days left of this blessing of a contract.
I’ve been with a lot of these friends since December and it feels CRAZY that I have to say goodbye to them. (And, rather heartbreaking!) But, what a joy this cruise has been. What a gift from God it is to be apart of these shows. I always wanted to tell stories where I got to see myself or people that looked like me represented. I always wanted to fulfill my inner child’s dream of performing on a Disney stage. And, I can successfully say I’ve done it!
And, I’ve gotten to have a lot of my front row besties join me. I mean. I’m feeling wild about this fever dream of a life I get to live.
I’m feeling excited to go home and hug my family and Ranger and friends but sad is an UNDERSTATEMENT to leave these people that have touched my life so deeply.
