Introducing my new ROMAN empire. I peruse rescue dogs basically daily but this was love at first sight. So far, he’s an absolute angel with kids and dogs and all people but most importantly (to me), he is the perfect balance of funny and zen.

A love letter to the best there ever was 🌈 my little baby bunzy butt who showed me how to love unconditionally. I didn’t know what I was getting into when I took him in and couldn’t have imagined the joy he would bring to my life. The gentlest soul who gladly shared his food and bones with all of our dog visitors and took treats so gently that I never had to think twice about letting kids feed him. Just like Cherae, he was absolutely hilarious, made killer eye contact, and couldn’t go outside without making a stranger smile merely by looking at him. His baseline was so so happy but his most joyful self came out when he saw other dogs which was all he looked for on our walks. I’ll miss everything about him but maybe most of all how he brought me a toy whenever I walked in the door. Onto your next journey, my little Slaterbunz. Bunz turns ELEVEN! That big personality we all know and love has definitely mellowed out but he’s still a comedian when he has the right audience and his EQ remains off the charts. His favorite place will always be right next to me but if anyone else in the room is sad or under the weather, he chooses to stay pressed against their side 10/10 times. It’s unreal 😇 Beyond grateful for every moment of these sweetie pie senior years with my very good boy 🐖❤️ by @amandalee703

Hands down best Instagram day of the year. Happy national dog day to the little man that brings so much joy to everyone around him. He greets friends, strangers, dogs and babies with genuine delight and the highlight of his day is bolting to the park for social hour. Cherae’s child through and through.
