Watching this lesson reminded me exactly why I love this work.

Jack came in ready to go, open to the process, and by the end, his voice felt stronger, more connected, and effortless. @jackherndon95

And the best part?

We didn’t force it. We made a few key adjustments, used movement, and got him out of his head and into his body. That’s when everything changed.

If you’ve ever been mid-performance and felt your voice start to fade by the second verse, or gone for a big note thinking “I hope this lands” instead of knowing it will, this is exactly what we work on inside “Voice Awakened”.

This isn’t about singing harder. It’s about learning the right tools so your voice works with you, not against you.

What’s inside: ⬇️

🎤 Group coaching sessions to refine chest voice, head voice, and mix

📲 Video feedback inside our private Telegram group

🧠 Mindset tools to help with confidence and performance anxiety

💃 Body movement exercises to create better resonance and unlock vocal freedom

Your voice already has what it needs. Sometimes, it just takes the right tools to unlock it.

🚪Doors close February 26th.

Drop “AWAKEN” in the comments, and I’ll send you the details.

OMG! This before and after transformation with @bekah_lynn_b had me truly beaming 🤩! I’m so proud of this girl! 🥰🙌🏼

So what did we do? 🤷🏼‍♀️

🎤We worked on speech resonance exercises + focused a lot on body alignment to help free up her sound. We also used movement to stop muscles from tensing! 💃

✨Her body found a new and easier way to sing “Wide Awake” by @katyperry ! In her words exactly, “it’s all about making it easier!” 😉☺️

Sometimes, the work we do with our voice goes beyond technique.

It might look like feeling less tension when you sing, trusting your voice in moments that used to feel difficult, or feeling more comfortable being heard and expressing yourself fully.

I want you to develop the skills to sing the way you want to sing. But I also care about how you experience the process, including what comes up along the way.

Thank you, Amber, for sharing this so openly. 💜

Ready to find your voice again? Comment “VOICE” and I’ll send you the details about working together.

Your eyes might have more to do with your singing than you think. 👀

When we think about vocal exercises, we tend to focus on breath support, pitch, resonance, and technique.

But what about your visual system?

Your eyes help your brain gather information about your surroundings. Your brain uses that information, along with input from your other senses, to help you move, maintain balance, and respond to potential threats.

Think about how your body might react if a tiger were chasing you. Your nervous system would help coordinate a rapid response to keep you safe.

So why am I doing pencil push-ups before I perform?

Pencil push-ups challenge your eyes to work together to focus on something close. This is called eye convergence.

Your brain is constantly processing information from your senses to help coordinate your body.

Exploring these connections gives us another way to understand how the brain and body work together, and what might influence how we feel when we sing.

When you care about your voice, it’s really easy to become hypervigilant about it.

You want to get it right.
You want to sound good.
You want to know that your technique is working.

So you start listening for every little thing.

Was that note right?
Did that sound weird?
Am I doing something wrong?

And before you know it, you’re not just singing anymore.

You’re watching yourself sing.

I think this happens to singers way more than we realize.

And sometimes the answer isn’t another thing to fix.

Sometimes it’s learning how to trust your voice enough that you don’t have to monitor it every second.

That’s something I wanted to explore in my Voice Awakened Mindset Workbook, because the mental side of singing can have such a big impact on how we experience our voice.

If this resonated with you, comment “MINDSET” and I’ll send you the details.

🎤 Singers! Save this post so you can track your vocal stamina over time.

🫁 One simple assessment I like using is called the Maximum Phonation Time (MPT) test.

Using a quiet, tiny “eeee” sound, it measures the maximum amount of time you can sustain your voice on a single breath. While it doesn’t tell us everything about your voice, it can give us a helpful snapshot of your vocal stamina and overall vocal function.

I use it as a starting point because it’s quick, easy, and can help point us in the right direction.

A lower score doesn’t automatically mean you have a breathing problem.

A higher score doesn’t automatically mean your singing technique is perfect.

Vocal stamina is just one piece of the puzzle, but it’s a useful one. Tracking it over time can help you see whether your voice is becoming more efficient as you train.

⏱️ Give it a try and let me know your time in the comments. I’m curious to see your results! by @amandamacvoice

A lot of singers think when a note isn’t coming out the way they want it to, they have to do one of two things.

Either back off, and it loses power,
or push harder, and it turns into strain.

And then it starts to feel like a guessing game. Like you don’t really know what your voice is going to do.

But what’s actually happening is this:

Right before the note, something shifts.

You start trying to control it.
Your body tightens a little.
Your breath changes.

And your voice responds to that.

When your voice is working for you, you don’t have to change anything right before the note.

Your breath keeps moving the same way it already was.

You don’t feel that last-second need to grab it or push it.

The note just comes out as expression,
instead of something you have to make happen.

That’s why it feels consistent.

You’re not guessing. You already know what’s there, and your voice follows through.

Most singers never really learn how to work with that moment before the sound.

That’s the part that changes everything.

That’s where the confidence and the trust comes from.

Not from trying harder, but from knowing your voice will be there when you need it .

This is the work I do with singers…helping your voice start working with you, not against you.

🎤 If this resonates, follow along for more.

You know that feeling when your voice does something you didn’t ask it to do right when it mattered most?

Yeah. I see you. Been there. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Here’s the thing though. It’s never just about the note. And once you find what’s actually going on, the shift can happen fast. We’re talking minutes.

That’s what we do inside The Singers Room.

Comment “ROOM” below and I’ll send you the details. 🎤

You can train your voice every day.
Run scales. Build breath control. Try every warm-up you can find.

But if your nervous system doesn’t feel safe…
If your mind is constantly focused on what’s wrong or not working…
Your voice will hold back.

Today, I had a singer in session.
I gave her an energetic, body-based exercise—something to help her drop into sensation and feel her voice from the inside.

At first, her mind resisted.
She kept focusing on what she didn’t like, what felt off.
It was hard for her to stay present.

But once we shifted her attention to her body—what she was feeling, instead of what she was trying to fix—her voice followed.
It opened.
It softened.
It felt more like hers.

This is what we do inside The Singers Room.
We don’t just train the voice.
We create the safety your voice needs to show up fully.

Comment “room” if you’re ready to stop overthinking and start singing with freedom.
