Aging has always fascinated me since I was little. At an early age I began to associate growing older positively. I would watch the protagonist of films throughout the years and witness the character development. With women particularly, how they became more refined, more self assured, more knowing of who they were. And I thought, “ah. That is what getting older must be like.”

Of course there was also the hard stuff. The grief, the change, most of which unexpected. But the characters that stuck with me were the ones who reached the end of their story not unscathed, but more whole because of it. More themselves. Quietly navigating life with a grace and elegance that can only come from the wisdom of learned and lived life.

Life will unfold, and often surprise us. But it is the years that pass that give us the fuel of knowing who we are to face them with curiosity instead of fear. More years of becoming, more years of learning, more years of coming home to myself. How cool is that. by @amandaoleksyn

Still thinking about Hilma af Klint’s abstract compositions she channeled through communication with her spirit guides. My spirituality is such a fundamental part of who I am, and I was so moved to see it so beautifully expressed through another.
