My heart is broken in ways words will never be able to explain. 💔 After five years of fighting with so much strength and courage, may you finally be free from pain.

I will forever admire your strength, your resilience, and the way you kept fighting. I’m so grateful for the time we had, the memories we made, and the love you gave us. Being your daughter will always be one of the greatest gifts of my life.

There will never be enough time, and I wish we had more. I wish for one more hug, one more conversation, one more chance to tell you how much you mean to me.

Thank you for being my dad. Thank you for loving us the way you did. Your fight may be over, but your love will live on in all of us, forever.

Until we meet again, Dad. 🪽 You will be missed more than words can say and loved for all the days of our lives. You fought so hard, and you will be loved forever. by @amandaorr_

after 11 years in our home and a unexpected leak in the wall/floor we decided it was time for a little kitchen renovation. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while and I’m so happy with how it turned out. The sage green tiles add such a beautiful touch. We aren’t completely done yet but here it is so far XX 🌿 #kitchenrenovation #beforendafter #homerenovation #kitchenbacksplash #kitchensink by @amandaorr_

Two years alcohol-free. 🤍

Two years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life—I stopped drinking.

Becoming a mama was the biggest reason I decided it was time. Something shifted in me when I became a mom. I wanted to be present. I wanted to be clear-headed. I wanted to show up for Olivia in every way, and I knew deep down that alcohol wasn’t helping me become the person—or the mom—I wanted to be.

The truth is, alcohol never really gave me what I thought it did.

It gave me the worst anxiety. The hangovers were awful. I would spend the next day feeling physically and emotionally drained, wondering why I kept putting myself through it.

And for me, it was never really just one drink.

One drink easily turned into more, and eventually I realized I didn’t want to keep living in that cycle.

Walking away from alcohol has given me so much more than I expected. I’ve gained clarity, confidence, peace, energy, and a deeper connection with myself and the people I love.

Most importantly, I’ve learned how to actually feel my feelings instead of trying to escape them. I’ve learned to be present through the hard days, celebrate the good ones, and trust myself again.

Being alcohol-free hasn’t meant that every day is easy. It has meant that I get to experience my life fully—the beautiful moments, the messy moments, the uncomfortable moments, and everything in between.

And becoming a mom was the beginning of this journey, but somewhere along the way, I realized I was doing this for myself, too.

Two years later, I am so proud of the woman I’ve become and incredibly grateful for the life I’m building.

I didn’t lose anything by giving up alcohol.

I found myself. 🤍

Here’s to two years of choosing presence over escape, peace over anxiety, and a life I don’t need to drink to enjoy.
