literally can’t get over how insane that was and how HARD IT WAS. that was not the outcome I expected or how I wanted any of it to go, but I am so grateful for my friends and family who came out to get me through every single mile of the race. I could not have done it without my people 🩵 I was so close to just giving up and not completing the race because of the pain I was feeling, the mental struggles, the unexpected circumstances that occurred before the start of the race, and just how hot it was. I did it, and despite how disappointed I was in how it all went and my finishing time I am just so proud of myself and feel so blessed 💫

We were so excited to adventure together and could not wait to go on a short hike in Michigan. Expecting to spend maybe 1-2 hours of enjoying views and exploring, we had somehow managed to make a 4 mile hike into a 12 mile hike.

We both had run out of water, ate all of the snacks we had, and were not seeing any signs pointing us to the end of the trail.

And yet, we had so much fun and it was one of the most memorable adventures.

We kept talking about how we were so thankful that no one else was with us because they would have been absolutely miserable. But we were not frustrated, we weren’t overwhelmed… we were just happy! Happy to be with each other and happy to be experiencing it all together. Even though we lacked resources, energy, and any kind of sign that showed we were at the finish line, we had the best time.

It made me realize that no matter what we face, no matter what we lack, even when there’s no clear sign of a way out, I’ll be okay as long as I’m doing it all with Chase. Love is not about taking the easy road or being given the perfect conditions, it’s about who you’re walking alongside when things may not go as planned.

Even when we’re tired, lost, weak, I know that it is a blessing to have you and a privilege to be strengthened by each other in those moments.
