I’ve really been thinking lately about how much your perspective changes as you get older…
-A few REAL friends are worth more than a whole room full of fake ones.
-A LV bag holds the same money as a bag from Walmart.
-A Volkswagen will get you where you’re going just like a Mercedes.
-Less really is more.
-Money can buy comfort, convenience, and some pretty damn nice things… but it can’t buy peace, genuine love, or happiness.
-Growth changes things. Sometimes it changes your circle, your priorities, and the way you see the world.
-Not everyone will like your authenticity. Some people will think you’re weird simply because you refuse to be anything other than yourself.
-And the older you get, the less you care about fitting in with people you were never meant to fit in with anyway.

And at the end of the day? God. Family. Real friends. Good health. Peace of mind. That’s the stuff that matters. Not the labels. Not the status. Not the number of people sitting at your table. Just a life that feels good to live, people who love you for who you really are, and the freedom to be yourself without apologizing for it.

One day, someone is going to present you with an opportunity that scares the HELL out of you.

You’re going to question yourself. You’re going to wonder if you’re capable. You might even talk yourself out of it before you ever give yourself a chance.

DON’T.

Sometimes, the opportunities that scare us the most are the very ones that change everything.

Say yes before you feel ready. Say yes even when you’re nervous. Say yes to the possibility that your life could look completely different a year from now.

It’s weird feels like home when it’s not really your home. What started as a one-time “I need to go run off some stress” run along the Brazos has turned into a “hey, I’m gonna go run. I’ll be back” kind of routine when I come to Waco.

I used to say I just loved this town because my best friend lives here. And while that’s definitely part of it, I’m starting to think there’s a little more to it than that.

I’ve prayed many a’prayer along this river. Worked through some things, had a few come-to-Jesus conversations with God, and probably sorted out more than a few of the million thoughts running through my head.

There’s just something about this place. I can’t explain it. It just feels like home in a way that doesn’t necessarily make sense. I think I’ll keep coming back though. 😜

You wanna know what I think keeps so many women stuck?

Fear. Fear of looking stupid, wasting money, what their husband might think, or what people they know are gonna say when they start putting themselves out there online.

And sis, I GET IT. I’ve had every single one of those thoughts.

But here’s the thing… you can spend the next 6 months talking yourself out of something, or you can spend those same 6 months LEARNING something that could actually change your life.

I’m not telling you to be reckless with your money or jump into something you don’t understand. I’m telling you to stop letting fear make every decision for you.

At some point, you have to get comfortable being a beginner. Nobody starts out knowing what they’re doing. The women you see doing things you wish you could do? They had to start somewhere, too.

Sis, six months from now, you can either be glad you finally tried or still be sitting there wondering what could’ve happened if you had.
