We did it!!! Still on cloud yellow. Yesterday was the official 🥂📚festive (press) launch of my new book: ‘Innerlijke Schoonheid’. I am eternally grateful 🥹 to everyone who was able to join and celebrate. The launch was everything I hoped for and so much more. A warm get together with likeminded people, touching speeches, and the perfect ambiance, bubbles and bites at @deleuropeams. Too many fab pictures to share, but here are a few. The Book Club Symposium by @harpersbazaarnl and @stichtingcpnb, held in the breathtaking Cuypers Library at the @rijksmuseum, reaffirmed why books 📚 and language continue to matter.As an author, editor and columnist, I’ve always been drawn to the power of words.Through poetry, literature, music and personal stories, the speakers showed how language influences not only how we interpret the world, but also how we understand one another.Books have quietly shaped my own life. Feel the Fear… and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers has been my guiding mantra for years. It gave me the courage to write books of my own, embrace opportunities that felt daunting, and trust that growth begins just beyond fear.Here’s to filling this summer with books, ideas and conversations that matter. 🙌🏽📚What a night. It was a week of beautiful scents, inspiring conversations and garden party’s 🎈with celebrations of new olfactive chapters.Less hype. More healing. While Amsterdam swelters in heat, I’ve been following the scent trail.A reunion with David Benedek and a first introduction to Collection Studio by @bdkparfumsparis. Three fashion-inspired fragrances designed to be layered, with Oud Paradisio stealing my attention.Then @abelfragrance Abel’s Double Scoop 🍨 launch, where a sophisticated vanilla fragrance was translated into burnt honey, wild rosemary and toasted sesame ice cream. Always special to see @francesshoemack and witness how far Abel has come since those early days 💚. Love it.At @babassubrands perfume event, I caught up with fellow Brit 🇬🇧 @sharmadeanreid, founder of @39bc.world .
