Open letter ✍🏼🎓

05/18/2023 — a dream come true.
Six years of dedication, focus, challenges, and so many moments when I felt like giving up. Starting over in a country with a different language, culture, and customs than anything I had ever known was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. But my desire to pursue my dreams was stronger. Eight years ago, when I left my country, I made promises to myself and those promises kept me going, made me stronger, and never let me quit.

I devoted myself to learning the language. It wasn’t easy… I sat in classrooms where only English was spoken, often in the back, feeling ashamed and afraid to participate, worried about my accent and pronunciation. There were many nights of studying, crying, and doubting but also a lot of faith in God, and that faith carried me through. I finished my English studies and took the next step toward my career. I received encouragement from amazing professors who saw beyond the language barrier and believed in my potential.

Today, I live this achievement with a heart full of gratitude and pride. Words can’t fully express what I feel. I thank God for guiding me every step of the way. I thank my husband, my greatest support and partner. I thank my family, who never stopped believing in me and always reminded me to keep going. I DID IT. This is more than a diploma it’s proof of perseverance, faith, and purpose. I dedicate it all to God, because without Him, none of this would be possible. 🙏🏼✨

🤍🤩 by @amandarm.c
