Many people are looking for new practices that feel closer to Earth and rooted in nature, ritual and the changing seasons. Especially if old beliefs and traditions are falling away.
The Fall Equinox is the balance point between the Summer and Winter Solstices which are the longest day and the longest night of the year. The fall equinox is the balance of equal day and night and it asks us to find balance.
This is a moment to make peace with the transition of the seasons. We begin letting go of summer while preparing ourselves for the activities, gatherings and work of fall.
Marking the changing of the seasons is a very old human practice. Across cultures and time,humans have celebrated and marked points in the year to recognize what is ending, what is beginning, and their own place within the cycles of the turning of the year.

Dang! Look at the size of this Jack O’lantern mushroom! Huge flush and huge fungi. This has true gills which is why it’s not a chanterelle. They have folds, not gills. These are not edible. ☠️ I love how they help exemplify the colors of fall 🙌
