Obsession is the feeling nobody admits to and everybody has. It is love that has stopped asking permission.

The person you can't get out of your head. The thing you check again although nothing has changed. The body you want. The memory you keep returning to. The thing you're terrified of losing. The idea you need to make real.

It can last a lifetime. Or twenty minutes. It can be beautiful, embarrassing, productive, destructive, sexual, political, completely irrational. Obsession isn't about how often. It's about how much.

Artists have always known this. Monet couldn't leave the water lilies alone. Kusama couldn't leave the dot alone. Bacon kept returning to the body. Something takes a seat inside you — and it will not get up.

A new exhibition is taking shape in Berlin, in the lobby of Hotel AMANO, open all night, all winter.

Art Gallery by Zielinski & Rozen × Hotel AMANO is inviting artists to be part of it. We're not looking for work about obsession. We're looking for the thing itself: what has taken up space inside you.

Beim Panel Talk haben wir genau diese Frage entlang der gesamten Hospitality Value Chain diskutiert – vom Investment und der Objektwahl über Architektur, Interior und Positionierung bis hin zu F&B, Betrieb, Community und der tatsächlichen Interaktion mit dem Gast.

Vier unterschiedliche Perspektiven zusammen. Und schnell wurde klar: Guest Experience entsteht nicht an einem einzigen Punkt und wird auch nicht von einer einzelnen Disziplin geprägt.

Der Gast erlebt einen Ort als Ganzes. Die Branche arbeitet jedoch noch häufig in einzelnen Bereichen.

Umso wichtiger ist es, die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven früher miteinander zu verbinden und gemeinsam darüber nachzudenken, welchen Ort wir schaffen wollen – und für wen.

Denn am Ende entsteht ein besonderes Gästeerlebnis vor allem dort, wo Konzept, Raum, Betrieb und Menschen zusammenkommen.
