Did you know a bit of rain on your wedding day is meant to bring good luck?

Anna & Tommy had a rainy start to their day in West Cork, but thankfully the rain soon cleared, giving them the outdoor ceremony they had hoped for. And the weather stayed on our side for the evening too — making for a lovely night in West Cork.

City vibes with Jen and Nick at the @theshelbournedublin and then onto @bewleysgraftonst for their Christmas wedding.

Two great city venues worth checking out if planning a wedding in Dublin City.

Love working with @markdonovanphotography for the first time. We had met a long time previous, at a photography conference so it was great to reconnect.

Fun fact - that day i said to Mark "Were you ever a referee?" Turns out he had referreed many of my schoolboy football matches around 25 years previously ⚽️🥅 by @amarestories

"What happens if it rains?" 👇

A common question from couples, especiallywhen booking photography.

My mindset is we can only control how we react to what's in front of us.
We can hope and pray, but weather is out of our hands.

It *rarely* rains all day, but if it does we work inside, in this situation we are finding pockets of natural light, but other times we need to create some light, either with flash or continous light.

Be prepared to roll with whatever happens on your wedding day, and trust you have booked the right photographer.
They will make decisions based on your expectations x reality x your experience of the process.

In 2026 we are focusing equally on photography and still offering video.

Molly and Connor at Luttrelstown Castle.
Just a few of my favourites.

They had a beautiful family wedding on the Thursday at St.Doolaghs on the Malahide Road, believed to be the oldest stone roofed church in Ireland.

Then a beautiful ceremony in Luttrelstown that weekend.
Thanks to Brian from @brian_shot_this who second shoot on photos with me and Rory, from @heartlandfilms who was the videographer for the day.

Between the 3 of us we delivered a beautiful mix of moments for Molly and Connor.

Thank you for trusting @amarestories with your vision and your dreams.
