12 years ago I styled this cover shoot for Vixen magazine. I will never forget that hot summer day in NYC, me and my friend were juggling all kind of different tasks to make this happen. We were a super tiny team and this cover model was such a trooper, she didn’t complain once.
I did everything on this shoot from makeup to styling and location scouting with a great help from my friend @ingridbredholt
We ran across East Village and photographed in streets, roof tops, back alleys and coffee shops without any permit. Lol
I miss being that creative, chaotic fashion head who was literally all over the place. These things made me so happy. The stress of putting shoots together and always being on budget made me so much more in control.
Life is dull and all about business now.
How I wish I could turn back time and just stay in that moment.
I really miss being carefree, creative, mischievous, rebel, nomadic and free.
This cover truly represents my essence.
