Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

As person of many means of expression, I often face the temptation of thinking the season I’m in is not productive enough, ambitious enough, fruitful; enough.

But recently the holy spirit has been reminding me not to forsake the work of God in the developmental seasons that don’t produce what I’D like to see.

Emphasis on what I want.
A completed project.
Album release.
Shows with set lists that contain all my originals.

Here’s the beauty in that desire, there is a time for it. Where it exists in all its beauty, to glorify God, to inspire a child, to unify strangers and friends alike. It’s just in the germination part of its process. It’s being watered, breathed on, lived in, for the music to actually mean something.

Be encouraged today, your season underground is also fruitful. God is still busy. You are doing enough by just being, enough.

Sit with him.

Sometimes it doesn’t feel like a heavy spiritual moment. Sometimes you don’t hear anything right away. But just know similarly to how you don’t see effects after every workout, you know muscles are working.

This one was special. I just wanted to encourage somebody and in the midst that somebody was me.

I had a moment of psyching myself out because it’s been months since I’ve done a show solo in a secular setting so this one was an owed-to self. A reminder that even when I forget who I am in all the capacities I’m called to fill, he never does. 🤍
