I’ve been trying to write something for awhile now, but it still doesn’t feel real. I’ve never lost someone before. There’s not a “how to” on how to feel or what to do. I had a 2 hour drive after I found out. I thought about all the memories I had, the phone calls, the late nights, the word searches and crosswords. I wished for one more phone call, one more song she could sing to me, one more memory. But being impacted by someone’s death just means that they impacted you in life.
My dad said she was consistent, how she treated me was how she treated everyone. And when I think about that, I know so many people were so blessed to know her. To know her, was to know love and joy. There was never a time where I was ever sad around her. God made someone so beautiful, and I’m forever blessed to call her my Grammy.
I know my time with her has ended, but I hope I can make her proud while she’s watching over us in heaven. I hope she knew the lives she impacted, and the blessing she was. I hope she knew I loved her more than I could ever put into words, and I always will 💕 by @amarilaing05
