“it’s not about the shoe…” - an @asics spec ad

written & directed by @aryantalla
director of photography: @josie.marin

art director: @landonguinther
gaffer: @connorwfisher
sound mixer / boom operator: @nairbfilms

starring:
@amartyfly
@a1mmanuel
@reaflox_

production: @nathangrne & @jakeguarton
editor: @shotbyncg
sound design & sfx: @jgprodz

director’s note:
this started with a thought in the middle of the night. "it's not about the shoe, it's about you." ran it by a few people the next day. josie pushed me to write it. told me to get to work.

from there it turned into a team effort. connor came on board. landon secured the location after we struggled to find one. our original actors hit a scheduling conflict,

andrew brought manny and reagan in last minute. brian joined for audio. people bought into the vision and gave up their time to see it through.

nathan and jake carried us in post.

this is the part of being a creative that hits every time. an idea at 2am, and a group of outstanding individuals bringing it to life with you.
