Day 8 of sharing videos from my camera roll brings me back to a beautiful evening at Sternensaal. ✨

This is “Struggling,” one of my original songs, performed with the ever-so-talented @music_goncalves. 🎸

Every now and then, you come across a venue that feels like it was made for music. Sternensaal @sternensaal_wohlen is one of those places. A beautiful theatre with so much history, whose stage has welcomed some remarkable artists over the years.

Something many people don’t know about me is that my professional background is actually in theatre. Before I started performing music professionally, the stage first taught me how to tell stories. So whenever I get the chance to perform in a theatre, it feels like coming home to a different part of myself.

Looking back at this evening fills me with gratitude. And as always, it’s such a joy sharing the stage with Benji. 🤍 by @amarumusic

SO THANKFUL!!! 🥹🩷🙏🏾Looking back on last Friday’s event at Stapferhaus I feel deeply grateful to have been part of such a meaningful evening. It was such an honor to contribute musically to a space dedicated to deep listening—something we all need more of in our fast-paced world. 🙏🏾

The evening’s panel was truly inspiring, featuring experts who shared unique perspectives on the power of listening in different fields: Maria-Anna Fernández (Tomatis Therapist), Dr. David Gurrea Salas (Chief Physician, PDAG), Christina Hegi Kunz ( 143.ch - Die Dargebotene Hand Aargau/Solothurn Martin Kuse (Chaplain), and Dr. Amina Nemmour (Senior ENT Physician, KSA). Their insights reaffirmed that listening—whether in medicine, counseling, therapy, or everyday life—is one of the most profound ways we can show up for one another. 🩷

A special part of the evening for me was learning more about @143.ch Die Dargebotene Hand Zürich / Tel 143 an organization that has been providing anonymous and confidential emotional support for people in crisis since 1957. Their helpline (143) 📞is available to anyone in need of a listening ear, proving that sometimes, a conversation can truly change—or even save—a life. ☎️

A heartfelt thank you to this panel’s wonderful moderator, also one of the incredible organizers—Josefine Krumm , whom I SO deeply appreciate for having been a MAJOR connector, supporter, dear friend and door opener in my professional journey over the last couple of years!! Vielen vielen Dank, Josefine!! 💐🩷🙏🏾🙏🏾

📸📸 And a big thank you to Adrian Oberer from the Lenzburger Nachrichten for capturing the special moments from the evening! 🩷 taken in Stapferhaus by @amarumusic

Have you ever fallen so deeply in love that the thought of life without them suddenly became terrifying?

That’s where this song came from.

I wrote “Tek” while I was falling in love with the person who would become the love of my life — trying to imagine what life would feel like without them in it.

Not exactly the most cheerful thing to write while falling in love. 😅 But apparently that’s where my songwriter brain went.

Just me, my guitar and this song out in the green. 🌿🎶

Listen to the end and tell me - have you ever loved someone enough to understand this feeling? 🤍 by @amarumusic

Another little piece of “Again” from the forest. 🌿🎶

A different section of a song I wrote about that tender, slightly terrifying moment when your heart starts opening to love again after it’s known heartbreak.

That little space between “maybe…” and “am I really ready to do this again?” 🤍

Played acoustically with @music_goncalves with the forest providing the rest of the band. 🎸🌿

The original “Again” lives on my album Brok-en — but I’m really loving letting these songs breathe differently in their acoustic form. by @amarumusic

Taking “Crashing” out into the green. 🌿🎶

There’s something I’m really enjoying about revisiting songs I wrote years ago and meeting them again like this- stripped back, outside, just me and the music.

“Crashing” has lived many lives since I first wrote and recorded it, but somehow it still feels good to sing.

Same song. Different season. Different version of me. 🤍

And maybe a few new ears finding it for the first time. 🎶🕊️ taken in Wohlen Ag by @amarumusic

Another one from the forest. 🌿🎶

This is “Anwengi”- a newer song of mine in Alur & Lugbara, about searching. 🤍

It’s still becoming, still being written, and for now I’m loving getting to play with it acoustically alongside @music_goncalves. 🎸

A song about searching, slowly finding its own way into the world.

Maybe it finds the right ears today. 🕊️🎶 by @amarumusic

A little more from our forest acoustic sessions. 🌿🎶

This time, “One Day at a Time” - an original song about waiting, timing, and learning not to rush something simply because your heart is ready for it. 💖

Still one of my favourite songs to sing, and still one I’d love to properly record someday.

For now, here’s @music_goncalves and me, a guitar, a forest… and one day at a time. 🎸🌿 by @amarumusic

A little more “Stay” from the forest. 🌿🎶

This time, the bridge. 🤍

There’s something I love about revisiting a song I wrote so many years ago and finding little parts of it that still feel so good to sing.

Just me, @music_goncalves, a guitar and the forest joining in wherever it pleased. 🌿🎸

“Stay,” acoustic and a little older… but still very much alive. by @amarumusic

Have you ever liked someone and simultaneously known: nope… not yet? 🥲

That was basically the beginning of “One Day at a Time.”

I wrote this song about a relationship I knew I wasn’t meant to start yet - which meant having to sit with all the feelings, questions and possibilities without trying to force an answer before its time.

And my coping mechanism was to write myself a song about waiting. 🥰🎶

A little reminder that I didn’t need to know where everything was going.

I just needed to take it…

one day at a time.

Still unrecorded, still very dear to me — and played here in the forest with the wonderful @music_goncalves. 🥰🎶🎸 by @amarumusic

If you’re discovering my music for the first time, it feels kind of fitting that we start here. 🎸🎶❤️

This is “Stay” - the very first song I ever released into the world.

It was the beginning of my journey as a recording artist, and so many years later, I still get to come back to it and discover something new in it.

This time, stripped back in the forest with @music_goncalves. 🌿🎸

No studio. No big production. Just the song, the guitar, our voices and whatever sounds the forest and the world around us decided to contribute that day. 😅🎶

If “Stay” is your first introduction to my music, hi. 👋🏾

And if you’ve known this song since way back when… I’d really love to know when and where you first heard it. 🥰 by @amarumusic

Benji and I playing “Again,” live from the forest. 🌿🎶

I wrote this song in that strange, tender space between heartbreak and the possibility of loving someone new.

I had met someone. Feelings were starting to form. And with all the butterflies and excitement came that slightly terrifying question:

Do I really want to do this again? 😅

Because falling for someone after you’ve had your heart broken hits differently. There’s the hope of something new, but also the memory of what it felt like when love hurt. The wanting to trust, while simultaneously wondering whether it might be safer not to.

“Again” was born somewhere in that tension - the jitters of a new love beginning, and the vulnerability of deciding whether to open your heart again.

Here’s a little acoustic version with @music_goncalves, played out in the forest. 🌿🎸

The original lives on my album Brok-en as a piano ballad. You can find the full album on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you listen to your music. 🤍 by @amarumusic
