POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Welcome to another post of bits n phrases French Edition with quotes and phrases collected in books, podcasts, and during conversations with my wise women friends. ✨

My current favourite — which will surely inspire a painting (because colours are pure crack for my neurodivergent brain 🎨🧠💫):

“Ce qui tient mon cœur éveillé, c’est le silence coloré.”
— Claude Monet 🌈🖌️

Oh, and Dalida’s tune— honestly, this song makes zero sense beyond the positive brain chemistry it triggers in me 🤣💆‍♀️
But hey, it’s my Instagram, my chaos, I do what I want 💅

And let’s be honest… no one’s gonna read this caption anyway — we’ve all got the attention span of a dry prune 🫣

Golden Pause 🌞✨🌅

Inspired by Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring,’ this piece reimagines a moment of introspection, friendship, and the power of consent. A solitary figure takes a break, framed by sunlit serenity and timeless beauty. The calla lilies, symbols of purity, rebirth, and friendship, add layers of meaning, intertwining themes of renewal and trust.

Medium: A4 watercolor and pen on paper, blending soft textures with clean lines to create an intimate yet vibrant composition.

Sun-drenched margaritas by the pool ☀️🍸 🐠

A4 watercolour blending vibrant mattes & metallics. Exaggerated reflections of shimmering water, the refreshing tang of lime - playful tropical tones, and neon accents— a summer afternoon with a subtle ’80s vibe.

What song would set the scene? 🎶✨

🌷 Scent of Spring 🌿

A playful exploration of spring’s gentle vibrance and constant renewal with watercolour. This A4 piece blends abstract shapes with soft, blooming hues that spread and bleed across the paper, inspired by nature’s awakening lightness and freshness. I sought to capture that feeling of springtime calm—the flowing colors and shapes radiate a sense of warmth and harmony.

Soft yet vibrant, this work is a reminder of nature’s beauty and the simple joy of new beginnings. 🌱

🪸 Coral Flow 🪸

Introducing my latest abstract duo! 🎨

I created this set to bring a bold contrast to our living room—specifically to complement our forest green sofa with vibrant coral tones. 🦞

This piece captures a sense of form and flow, with shapes that invite the eye to wander and imagine the art extending beyond the edges. Painted in a matte finish with a chunky flat brush, the process was meditative and has me inspired to go even bigger in canvas size (and grab larger brushes too)!

Each canvas is 61cm x 81cm, adding a perfect balance of color and texture to the space. 🌿✨

❇️« Threatening Expansion, Taming Expression. »❇️

This Watercolour on paper (21 x 29.7 cm)
explores the delicate balance between growth and restraint, capturing the intensity of emotions. This artwork embodies the idea that discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life. Through this piece, I tried capturing the tension and beauty in the journey toward authentic personal growth.

Do # even still works?
