🎙️✨ THE VOICE. THE PRESENCE. THE LEGEND. ✨🎙️

For more than 20 years, Larry Legend has been a defining voice in professional wrestling and combat sports — a true master of the microphone whose unmistakable delivery has introduced generations of fans to some of the biggest moments and personalities in the independent scene.

A versatile ring announcer, commentator and personality, Larry’s voice has reached far beyond the wrestling ring, including serving as the opening voice of the Academy Award–nominated film The Wrestler. 🎬

A 2018 CZW Hall of Famer, Larry’s career is measured not only by longevity, but by the countless events, performers and fans whose memories are forever connected to that legendary voice.

And for A Matter of Pride, this one feels especially personal. Larry has been part of our story, our community and our history — helping give our events the larger-than-life energy they deserve.

Now, 10 years after the beginning of A Matter of Pride, we’re honored to celebrate the man behind the microphone as a member of our inaugural A Matter of Pride Hall of Fame. 🏆

Join us Thursday, October 15th at The Brooklyn Monarch as we honor a voice that helped define an era.

In 2000, Alicia broke into professional wrestling at just 13 years old. By 18, The Original Jersey Girl had become one of the East Coast’s premier women’s wrestlers — one of the first women to wrestle in ROH, SHIMMER original, 2005 WXW Elite 8 winner & the first-ever WSU World Champion, earning victories over names like Beth Phoenix, Luna Vachon, Jazz, Gail Kim & more.

Her unapologetic femininity made her one of wrestling’s most recognizable personalities of the MYSPACE era 💋 — but behind the photos, matches and memories is a woman whose story has continued to evolve.

In recent years, Alicia has opened her life to others in an entirely different way, candidly documenting her battle with triple-negative metaplastic breast cancer — facing her toughest opponent with the same vulnerability, strength and individuality that have defined her career. 🎀

Alicia was there at the very first A Matter of Pride event 10 years ago and has remained undefeated in AMOP competition ever since. She isn't simply part of our history — she helped create it.

So on the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it feels especially meaningful to honor an AMOP original as the FIRST inductee into the inaugural A Matter of Pride Hall of Fame. 💖

Join us Thursday, October 15th at The Brooklyn Monarch as we celebrate Alicia, her career, her fight & her legacy.
