Growing up, Matko, the founder of Amba, would always hear these words before heading out — a reminder to be careful, to think about what he was doing, who he was with, and where he was going. You never know what can happen.

But “pamet u glavu” was always meant with love. It was a way of saying, “Take care of yourself.” A few simple words that gave him a sense of support and reminded him that someone was looking out for him.

Those words have stayed with him throughout his life, through so many moments and memories. And at the end of the day, that’s what our culture has always been about: community, love, and family.

That’s also what we want to bring to our community through Amba — creating something together, achieving something together, being grateful for what we have, and finding happiness in what we share.

In a world where so much is taken for granted, we want to remember what really matters — looking out for one another, appreciating what we have, and always finding a way to give something back.
