Immediately saved this tutorial to replicate cuz I wanted to look like sparkly crispy Barbie princess enchanted water!!! Ended up lowkey matching the Niagara Falls Light Show! 🌈😭🫶 Tutorial by / Inspo from: @nicaphan 🤩✨ Last slide to see a tiny snippet of the Light Show! Wish they showed more rainbow, but it was still so cool! They had fireworks every night we were visiting (I think they keep up the fireworks till September or October?) and Canada side had an open watch party for the World Cup, so much fun! Looking back at the photos, I realize signs of the migraine attack coming were there. My puffy/wonky left eyelid being one of those (visual) signs! I remember noticing as I was taking the half-and-half’s, and thought she was looking a little puffy/droopy. But in this case, my body was being loud and clear and I ignored it (to be fair, my left eye will often puff up for no reason also). 😭 Documented my regret at the end cuz wym this look manifested a real migraine, bro. This particular migraine lasted 48 hours after, despite taking meds. Man, I did not miss this! Remember to show love and compassion for your neighbors, because you truly never know what they’re going through. It’s not just a headache. 🌩️⚡️The way I got a severe migraine in the EXACT spot I drew the spark of lightning not even an hour later?? The irony is not lost on me. 😭 This is my (very late) look for migraine awareness month (featuring the color, purple). Being the 3rd most common disease in the world, Migraines afflict so many people, and are often debilitating. I am one of those people afflicted. I used to think I just had regular headaches, but with a horribly low pain tolerance (hypersensitive, I feel literally everything). But as I listened to life accounts from loved ones and from friends online (also shoutout to my chiropractor that called it out and got me into researching my symptoms!), I realized what I was experiencing was actually migraine attacks. Mine were always on the left side, and always an “ice pick” to the brow. I’d be hit with vision blurriness, intense nausea, severe light sensitivity (where I could only handle sitting in complete darkness). If I took medication 30 mins to an hour before a migraine attack hit me fully, it wouldn’t last too long (maybe an hour?). But if I didn’t take it in time, it would last a period of days, and medication could barely dull it down. At one point, i remember it would come every 2-4 days, and that was my life for a period of time. (I believe I was at my worst before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, but idk if that’s correlated.) Idk why I never said anything, I’m sure I complained, but not enough to seek help. I just thought I was bad at managing pain (I knew others that deal with worse), and didn’t want to bother or inconvenience anyone. (Don’t ever do that btw, speak up and speak out!!) Close-ups of the Yoshi eggs you have to collect for Boddle by feeding them bean fruit… Which tastes like beans!
