Is this business shaped like a Dorito? 🤔🔺

It’s funny—network marketing has been around for decades, so I don’t hear the “pyramid scheme” question much anymore. But every now and then, someone will say, “Isn’t this where only the people at the top make all the money?”

Let’s be real: doesn’t that happen in traditional corporate too? The CEO earns more than the managers, and the Vice President earns more than the front desk clerk. That’s just how corporate structures work.

The difference? In network marketing, there’s no ceiling. You can out-earn the person who introduced you to the business. Your hard work and dedication—not your title—determine your success.

So, the real question is: What would you do with that kind of freedom?

BIG News, Friends 📣! My trusty port, my sidekick since Nov ‘21 for high-dose IVs (not chemo!), is retiring tomorrow. 🎉
The first day I arrived in Arizona at an 8 week integrative cancer clinic, they sent me down the road to have my port implanted. That sure makes treatment real…having IV’s hooked up to your chest, 6 days a week, for 8 weeks. The reason integrative cancer clinics sometimes use ports is to actually save the life of your veins. If I would have used the veins in my arm for 8 weeks, they would be fried! Especially at the high dose (150 grams per day) Vitamin C I was getting. I kept the IV needle in my chest all week, taped (I’m sure with some fabulous 3M medical tape) up tight, showered with this apparatus hanging from my chest, and then had it removed Saturday afternoons, freedom for 2 nights. Needle back in on Monday mornings!

A few other key IV’s during my treatment were: Curcumin and Mistletoe, with some other minerals thrown in there each day. Also, my local IV dealer has been fabulous! Dr. Smiley, the local doctor who owns the IV business I frequent, has been such a treat, working closely with my integrative cancer docs in Arizona and Mexico City. It’s been humbling showing up in a swimsuit, an occasional strapless dress, and a yoga top having this little being pop out of my thin upper body skin, but I choose this integrative route, and I’d choose it all over again.

This 3.5 year journey’s been all about integrative cancer healing & thriving, along with a good dose of patience and re-routing. And thriving we are. #HealthJourney #IntegrativeMedicine #integrativecancer by @amber.j.wick

Well, apparently our new hurricane tradition has TWO parts. 😂🌪️

Yesterday, Augie and I walked to the beach in search of breakfast. Found no breakfast. Found a new tradition.

Today, Jason joined us for round two.

We checked on a few friends’ homes. Checked on our nutrition club. And, of course, made our way back to the Gulf.

No power. No cell service. Nothing open.

But the beach is always open. 😂❤️

So now we have a pre-hurricane beach tradition AND a post-hurricane beach tradition.

Apparently, walking to the Gulf in the middle of a hurricane is NOT an 11-year-old’s idea of a good time. 😂🌪️

We set out on a mission to find breakfast, but not surprisingly, everything was closed thanks to Hurricane Isaiah.

And let’s just say Augie was NOT amused with my idea of walking in the rain to the beach. 😂 But as fresh air and the great outdoors always seem to do, they worked their magic, and he quickly changed his tune.

“Mom, this is fun! We should make this a tradition for every hurricane!”

So apparently we have a new hurricane tradition.
Got a little exercise before being stuck in the house for the next two days, too.
