I’m not great at voiceovers but I am great at making a place unique and interesting. This place is only about 400 sq ft and I loved thinking outside the box on how to utilize it best. Especially the BED. Thanks for touring my home!

Poetry in Motion: Wine in a Coffee Cup

I, @amberbambler, have to write about this project personally. There’s only a small group of people in my life that really know about my poetry and how much it means to me. Last year I started going through 22 years of works and compiling them, preparing to make a book. I believe these are the most vulnerable pieces of art I have ever created and it’s time to unleash them.

When I met @jmk.mov and he told me he appreciates poetry, I got excited with an idea to bring them to life visually. His response was that he’s wanted to do something like this for years. Perfect.

This is the FIRST video release (of a series) that will coincide with my book!!

I wrote this poem about 15 years ago and it’s still one of my favorites. Obviously there was a breakup involved, but it goes much deeper than that. It’s an ode to that time in my life where I was living in an efficiency apartment, spending a lot of time alone painting and drinking cheap red wine out of the only solid cups I owned.

Jim and I brainstormed, he drew up a storyboard, we filmed, edited and the only thing we needed to tie a bow around it was music. Huge thanks to @shoottofill of @shouting_bird for creating something that we felt fit perfectly.

To give the video a raw, emotional feel, Jim shot handheld with his trusty @zcamcc E2, and for lighting used a @gvmled Pro SD650B led with an optical snoot, for the spotlight effect.

Immersive mural reveal!! Months in the making and I can finally show it off to the world! I am SO honored to now have contributed creatively to The Octopus House here in Austin. We’ll have a professional come in at some point to get better footage but I couldn’t wait. I’m so proud!! Thank you Pepe (Joey) 🩵 Now maybe you see why I didn’t get burnt out 😉

Hey friendos, I have big news. I am leaving Austin at the beginning of June for a new adventure. I’m going to spend some time in Costa Rica with good friends and travel around. Aaaand! I have been working really hard on a badass mural that I am SO proud of, so we are having a mural reveal/going away party on the 23rd. I can’t wait to show it to everyone!! If you can/want to come, message me! Would love to see friendly faces. I’ll be selling a lot of stuff, including my art.

If you can’t come and want to buy, I’m discounting these pieces big time and can mail them. I’m really ready to let go of them so that I can start something completely new.

Each of these are now priced between $50-$150. I would love some support as I head out into the almost unknown 🩵🏖️ taken in Austin, Texas by @amberbambler

Four people in my life have passed in 3 months time. So many of my friends have lost someone or some ones this last year. Most of them are related to mental health, or a lack thereof. Can we, as a human race, do better? Make healthcare (including mental) accessible and rid ourselves of the stigma? Are we cultivating a world where it’s okay to ask for help? Support? Comfort? Love? And are we willing to give that if asked?
