I sow the seed, I till the soil,
And pour my spirit in the toil.
I hand them wings to take the sky,
While I stay still and watch them fly.

I wave my hand, invisible, meek,
A heart in Christ that tries to seek
To be a sister, neighbor, friend—
Yet wondering when the draft will end.

I offer light, but sit in shade,
And wonder why my peace was traded.
Lord, take this tiredness in my chest,
And turn my service into rest.

Grandma, I love you—mean it, truly. Saved a spot in my heart for you forever, but I know you’re already dancing with Dolly in the sky. Until we meet again. 🕊️ by @amberleehardy
