Oh, to be a nursing student 😭
If you would’ve told me ten years ago that I’d end up choosing nursing, I would’ve laughed. With a mom who’s a nurse, I was sure I’d go in a completely different direction. But my purpose pulled me right where I was meant to be. This journey has been so much bigger than me, and every single day I find another reason to fall in love with this profession.

God has walked with me through every step, every late night, every doubt, and every breakthrough, and I’m truly grateful for His grace. I’m proud to say I made it through nursing school passing all my classes on the first try, but not without the tears, the anxiety, and all the frustration that comes with surviving nursing school.

I’m so thankful to my cohort for the laughs, the bonding moments, the random elevator talks, and the constant encouragement. From the very first day I parked in the college of nursing garage and couldn’t find my car, to now… it all feels like it went by in two seconds. And I wouldn’t change a thing.

To Kirsten & Charri:
Y’all have been my BACKBONE throughout this journey! I wish we could just have one more study session😭. Every prayer, mini-bible study session, trip to the bookstore, facetime call, and lunch meant the world to me. Thank you for changing my perspective on life, cheering me up, and giving me something to look forward to each class/clinical day. I wish y’all the absolute best in every endeavor you take on. I love y’all sooooo much🫶🏾💕

Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

All I can say is Thank you, Lord. In 7 days, I will be graduating from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Time really does fly, and I can’t believe that my time is already here. My experience at PV has been nothing short of amazing, and I can’t even begin to describe all of the lessons I’ve learned, the personal growth I’ve experienced, and the relationships I formed that shaped me into the young lady I am today. This is only the beginning of my journey.
