This guys comin together pretty alright. Its the biggest piece I have ever crystallized and Im not completely satisfied. Ive been thinking about starting from scratch. Missing my Grandma Niki and Grandma Connie. The world feels more empty without the either of you. I didn't realize how much of a friendship we had till you guys were gone. I still reach for the phone to call my Grandma Connie and laugh like teenage girls. Grandma Niki, you were always our sweet, safe, dependable person and I loved our relationship and friendship. I'll probably never stop reaching for my phone to text you a meme or videos of my birds.I have some peace in knowing you two are together and can visit like friends, be surrounded by all of your critters and garden together. Both of you were always my happy safe space growing up. I always loved bringing my friends to either of your houses because I knew they would instantly love either of you, and they always did. Not being able to attend a funeral for either of you is something I will always have to cope with. Not saying our final goodbye. I know we've had our own spiritual moments since both of you have passed.. it's just not enough. I really never imagined life without either of you. Even when I knew you were sick or your mind was slipping. I'd still get silly texts and selfies from Grandma Niki. The last time I saw my Grandma Connie before we moved and she passed away, I was cutting her hair into the pixie cut I had been giving her for almost two decades. She's the reason I cut my hair short into a pixie cut at 15. I loved cutting our hair to match all those years... Grandma Niki, you're the whole reason I've grown up with such a love for any kind of fae and magic. Thank you both for my double green thumbs too. There is so much more I want to say.. that my favorite childhood memories are with my cousins and siblings at either of your houses. That my most favorite thing ever was driving up 49 or 174 and starting to see all the pine trees and forests, knowing I was almost home to see you guys. It was worth every split holiday. One of my most cherished memories was when one of you would pick me up from each others houses &I would have both of my grandma's sitting at the same table, talking about us kids or laughing and drinking coffee. This is Bindi, named after Steve Irwin's daughter:) She's a Quaker/monk parrot and the newest addition to our family. She is almost 4 months old. We got her when she was two months old. She's been an incredible addition to our flock. After the passing of our sweet girl, Ellie back in February. We didn't have the heart for another soul connection like we had with Ellie. But circumstances prevail, and while I had initially told the seller go ahead and give her to someone else. People kept falling through. I've been thinking about her so I messaged the seller and she said she was still available so I flew up and got her.
While we're still getting to know each other, I think we already have a very strong bond:) these parrots are something else. I can't wait to hear her voice when she starts to talk. The last photo is Ellie, rest in peace, my little soulmate. I hope you like your little sister Bindi. She's protective of us like you, the cats are terrified of her, just like you and she's fierce and sweet. Just like you. However, she walks around like she's wearing clodhoppers and falls over a lot, you were as elegant as a wraith my girl. My og crystallized cat skull, every single one is different because they're all individually placed crystals and unique to their shape etc. As a kitty lover, it's been my honor to be able to crystallize not only cat skulls, but dog skulls as well that we're family pets!
