It’s the leap of faith daddy and you did it.

My dad was a dreamer. Loved movies, television, he could recite any line from Seinfield or Christmas Vacation. He knew everything about LA and always could point out the history of a street or knew what movie shot there. He made me fall in love with all things entertainment. He acted on the side for fun and would love sharing stories about doing stand in work for his cousin going to all the different studios. I loved hearing his stories even if I already heard them it just brightened him up so much.

He was a veteran, extremely proud usc alumni, huge football fan. He knew all the constellations in the sky, he donated blood every year, he went to church every Sunday, very musically inclined. I would play him a song and he could play it on the guitar by hearing it just a few times. He was my basketball coach, taught me how to swim, how to fish, play softball, tennis, ride a bike. Every Saturday he would take me to ballet and afterwards we would get a donut until I felt too mature for a donut and we would get coffee instead.

He really enjoyed his life and would go out dancing every weekend. Even after his surgery he went out singing and dancing, even swimming. He was so strong throughout it all. He had no idea these last few months would be his last but he really did live them fully.

One of his friends told me the good and the bad are all part of the same life and we don’t get to choose which parts to keep. So you have to love and live it while you’re still here. I’ll hold onto that and look forward to hearing about all your adventures in heaven one day. 🕊️

love you forever,

This year a little reggaeton butterfly flew into my heart🦋 reminded me you never know what tomorrow might bring or what little unexpected thing can change your life. All you can do is keep your heart open and keep going. 💛

Some of the most beautiful days are the simplest ones🌊

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reach out❤️
I felt every bit of love and don’t take any of it for granted.

Here’s to another year of finding joy in this precious life. ✨ Wherever you are today, I hope you know there’s still so much beauty waiting for you. Keep going. 🦋✨ by @amberquinns
